Morning start from Auckland. The number of places we will visit is expanding as we now have more flexibility. (Trust me it will be better than the train schedule). We are working on it.
Boarding our Luxury Coaches and beginning our journey up the rural country side. Travelling through lush farming country for awhile before delving into bush-lined gullies, over bridges and through tunnels, until we arrive at a quaint historical country pub for drinks and lunch.

The Puhoi Pub

Interior

Returning to our Coaches, we will then travel further up the road to the next attractions.
Between attractions we sit back through more spectacular scenery of rolling farm lands, hills and valleys, until we reach New Zealand’s Northern most City,
Whangarei.

We will be met by our hosts, the Whangarei H3, who will send us of on a run through boat harbour, bush, river, waterfall. Circle, drinks and food will follow. Then a good nights rest in the provided accommodation.

Annual Rangitoto Island Run

St Patrick’s Day

This Monday morning you have
ample time to explore Auckland
City. Take in the Auckland War
Memorial Museum with its world
famous collection of Maori and
Pacific displays.

Maybe dare to free fall
off the Sky Tower in a
controlled descent.

Or just sit back and relax in one of the many cafes or bars
to people watch, chin-wag or enjoy the morning.

After lunch we all meet down at the wharf to load onto a ferry which will carry us to the wonderful world renowned volcanic island of Rangitoto. Its last eruption was only 600 years ago. (Due again)

There will be several runs to the top, easy, moderate, and ‘nasty’.

At the top are magnificent
views to the city and gulf and
here we will enjoy a drink of
amber fluid before heading
down for circle food and 2000th
run celebration, and board our
ferries home.

After about 1hour, we will be back at our berth in the city,
