Sky Information

Ok seeing as how most of you are going to be fairly new to Sky I have put together a quick find map for Ru'Aun Gardens seeing as how it is quite possibly the most important area you become familiar with seeing is how it is in essence the gateway to sky. All of these maps come from FFxi-Atlas and I have just edited them marking the most important entrances and NM positions in the gardens, So please refer to ffxi-atlas.com for more maps relating to this area such as how to get to particuliar places.






    God Information

Below is a section I have put together to get you more aquiainted with Sky and the gods that lie dormant within.

GENBU - spawned by trading Gem of the North(Zipacna) & Winterstone(Olla PMG) to ??? on Genbu's Island.



Genbu is a Adamantoise type mob. He is weak to Ice. He uses standard Adamantoise type attacks :
Head Butt: (status->ACC down) Damage, Turtle Stomp: (status->DEF down) Damage, Harden Shell: (Enemy->DEF Boost), Turtoise Song: (AoE) dispels all song effects, Aqua Breath: (Frontal) water damage, Earth Breath: (Frontal) earth damage. He also cast Drown, WatergaIII, PoisongaIII, WaterIV, and Flood.


Stun Priority: Any of his Tier3 -Ga spells. Tier4 single if using PLD as tank.
2 Hour Ability: Invincible.

SUZAKU - spawned by trading Gem ofthe South(Brigandish Blade) & Summerstone(Faust) to ??? on Suzaku's Island.



Suzaku is a Giant Bird type mob. He is weak too ice and 50% resist to Wind. He uses standard Giant Bird attacks :
Stormwind: (AoE) Damage, Giga Scream: triple attack, Dread Dive: (status->Stun), Gliding Spike: (status->Blind) Damage, Feather Barrier: (Enemy->EVA Boost). He also casts FiragaIII, FireIV, Flare, and Burn.


Stun Priority: Any of his Tier3 -Ga spells. Tier4 single if using PLD as tank.
2 Hour Ability: Chainspell. (Most LSs use Shadowbind to prevent mass death when Suz uses 2hr)

SEIRYU - spawned by trading Gem ofthe East(Steam Cleaner) & Springstone(Mother Globe) to ??? on Seiryu's Island.



Seiryu is a Wyvern type mob. He is weak to Dark and is 50% resistant to Fire, Tolerant of Wind. He uses standars Wyvern attacks :
Dread Shriek: (AoE->Paralyze), Dispelling Wind: (AoE) dispels up to three of surrounding target's buffs, Radiant Breath: (Frontal->Silence), Tail Crush: STR Down / Poison + Damage, Fang Rush: Damage, Deadly Drive: Damage, Plasma Breath: (Frontal) lightning breath, Wind Wall: (Enemy->EVA Boost). He also casts AeroIV, AerogaIII, & Choke.


Stun Priority: Tier3 -Ga spells. Tier4 single if using PLD as tank.
2 Hour Ability: Hundred Fists. (Most LSs stun-lock him when he uses 2hr)

BYAKKO - spawned by trading Gem ofthe West(Despot) & Autumnstone(Ullikummi) to ??? on Suzaku's Island.



Byakko is a Tiger type mob. He is weak too Lightning and Fire, and he is tolerant to Ice. He uses standard tiger attacks :
Claw Cyclone: (Frontal) Damage, Roar: (AoE->Paralyze), Razor Fang: Damage. He also casts Holy, DiagaIII, DiaIII, BanishIV, and BanishgaIII.


Stun Priority: Tier3 -Ga spells. Tier4 single if using PLD as tank.
2 Hour Ability: Perfect Dodge

    Pop NM Information

Zipacna - 4-6 hour pop. Spawns between (E-3) to (K-3) Velugannon Palace. Constantly moving between (E-4) to (K-4) at approximately every 5mins.

Zippy is a Golem type mob. Uses standard Golem attacks. A party of 75s is recomended.Weak to Lightning.


Olla Pequena/Media/Grande - Spawned by trading a Ro'Maeve Water to the ??? (15 min respawn time) at (J-6) of the map. Shrine of RuAvitau

After trading the Ro'Maeve water to the ??? Olla Pequena will appear. After defeating it Olla Media will appear. After defeating it Olla Grande will appear. Defeat Olla Grande. All 3 use standard Magic Pot attacks with each form getting progressively harder. All three have 50% resistance to all elemental damage.


Brigandish Blade - Spawned by trading a Curtana to the ??? at (H-12). VeLugannon Palace.

Once this NM reaches 1HP, it can only be killed from a melee hit of the Buccaneer's Knife(THF only), which must be stolen off of it(Thief main or Sub cen steal knife.). Uses standard Evil Wepon attacks with added effect Terror on every hit. It is generally best for melle to only engage long enough to use one ws, mages nuke heavy. 50% resistance to Earth, Water, Wind, Lightning, Ice, & Dark, Weak to Fire & Light.


Faust - 4-6 hour pop.

Faust is quite possibly the worst of all pop nms. He spams Typhoon(AoE->Knockback) literally hundreds of times during the battle, on average 3 every 5 seconds. And believe me they hurt. Best way is to have PLD/WAR voke him n run to room at end of hall, PLD stands on teleporter and tanks fasut while all healers concentrate on keeping him alive. Keep him paralyzed n slowed n have BLM nuke and fight should go Ok. Weak to Lightning

Tonbo-Giri(Polearm)



Steam Cleaner - Spawns randomly as a summon from one of the Detector mobs underground

In order to get Steam Cleaner to pop you must pull one of 2 detector mobs inside of V.Palace, sleep the detector after it summons its pet. Each detector will summon a total of 5 pets, after you defeat the fifth kill the detector. SC uses standard Magic Pot attacks, killable by 8+ 75s. Has 50% resistance to all elemental damage.

Drops:
Indra-Katars(H2H), Freya's Tear



Mother Globe - 4-6 hours

Casts Lightning spells such Burst, Thunder IV, Thundaga III, Shock, and Shock Spikes, Summons 6 Slave Globes which assists and follows the mob. 2 Parties of level 70+s are recommended for this fight, have at least 2 BLMs to nuke the Slave Globes to death with AoE spells. Weak to Lightning.

Drops:
Shiranui(Katana)



Despot - 2-2.5 hours. Lottery spawn from aggressive Groundskeepers who are under blue lights around (H-9) to (H-10) in Ru'Aun Gardens.

Uses standard Magic Doll attacks. Soloable by level 73 BST/NIN. Weak to Lightning.

Drops:
Scarecrow Scythe(Scythe)



Ullikummi - 4-12 hrs. Lottery spawn from Aura Statue

Uses standard Golem sttacks. Killable by 12 level 70+ characters; 6 level 74-75 characters. Ullikummi sucks simply from the fact that gilsellers have had a sort of lock on him, its not as bad as it used to be but its still an accomplishment to catch this guy. Weak to Lightning.

Drops:
Ulfhedinn Axe(Great Axe)
