It all started in the so-called ashes of local band Right Hand Side.  Wes, Nathanael and Brendan were all in the same physics class and in January 2000 threw around the idea of starting a ska band with Wes on bass, Brendan on trumpet, Nathanael on guitar, Andrea on alto sax, Chris on vocals and Mike Vuong/Dave Innes on drums.  Wes wrote Cargo Pants for our first practice and it became the first crowd favorite.  Mike played drums to start but wasnt making it to practices since he was already graduated, so Dave filled in nicely.  At that first practice as we were setting up, Gordon Harris was in the band room and picked up his trombone and asked to join in.  We couldnt see why not, since he was a musical genius and has perfect pitch.  Dan was away at college but whenever he came back to Penticton for the weekends he would play along with us working with Nathanael to learn the songs.

This was the way it was for quite a while, also adding a bari sax player Ian Aastrom somewhere along the way.  Once school started after summer, we lost Gordon to the University of Toronto with a full 4-year scholarship, which left us with a void on trombone.  A short while later we threw the idea of asking fellow jazz band member Ryan Peatt to fill in on trombone.  So for about a month this was our lineup before Nathanael decided he needed to focus on his schoolwork and the next show with Belvedere/Deville/Of No Avail was going to be his last.  Chris also decided to leave at that time.  Since Brendan also played guitar he was going to take over Nathanaels guitar responsibilities and trained another fellow jazz band member Sean Hollis to take over his trumpet parts.  So for one show we ended up with 4-5 horn players, as well as Chris, Dan, Wes, Dave and Nathanael.

This ended up being an awesome show so Chris decided not to quit, but we lost Sean and Ian after this show for lack of interest.  Now faced with only two horn players (not that thats a bad thing, Less Than Jake only has two) we were looking for another trumpet player and possibly another bari sax.  We ended up with half of what we wanted as Ryans new girlfriend, Laura, coincidentally played bari sax.  This was our line up throughout the rest of our history.

In February of 2001 we booked some time at our band room to record ourselves, and although we were able to record all of the guitars, drums and vocals for all of our originals, time didnt allow us to record the horns.  At the end of the summer, OOO officially disbanded due to the members going their separate ways for post secondary education.

A year and a half later, Brendan finished mixing the tracks and Thanks For Comin Out was finished with 11 tracks and 2 hidden tracks.  There are still two songs left unmixed but will never be finished due to a malfunction in the files.

Heres a list of bands we were fortunate enough to share the stage with
