Liner Notes:

If there was ever a song branded with the cliche expression "A Household Word" it would be the We Five's classic hit "I Woke Up This Morning, You Were On My Mind."  The record itself sold over a million.  This new album collection is a composite of some of the earlier things that made them famous as well as some new approaches which are a departure from the original sound when "Woke Up This Morning" was so popular, written by Jerry Burgan who has penned the title song "Take Each Day As It Comes."  His songs unfold a totally different dimension.  It's becoming more apparent that young people like Jerry Burgan are showing an ever increasing awareness of the position of responsibility in the social structure of today's world.  In keeping with this they not only seek but demand a more refined and inspired musical sound, not just a commercial sound, but a sound that is involved from reality and honest feelings.  The finished product speaks for itself.   In this new album, not only does each selection represent the group's maximum effort, but also talent and complete involvement.  Debbie Burgan's excellent voice in "Take Each Day" is the frosting on the cake.
