Lorenna McKennitt
Loreena McKennitt, born in Morden, Canada on Febuary 17th 1957. Celtic Harpist, Keyboard Player and Singer, Loreena rose to prominance in her native Canada in the mid eighties with a series of independantly released albums.
The daughter of a livestock dealer and a nurse, Loreena's earliest ambition was to become a veterinarian surgeon, though she abandoned her studies soon after she discovered Celtic Music. While busking in Toronto Canada, she recorded two cassette onlyalbums which were sold independantly - an independance of spirit which can still be seen in the fact that, despite her international success, she continues to be self managed....
