87th Annual GWIS National Conference
June 26-28, 2008

Graduate Women In Science (GWIS) is a non-profit professional organization
that works to advance the participation and recognition of women in science.
We also foster research through grants, awards, and fellowships.

The GWIS Omicron Chapter serves the metropolitan Washington DC area
(Maryland, Virginia, DC).  Omicron sponsors local monthly meetings and
lectures on current research and health topics.  Our members are also
dedicated to encouraging young scientists through outreach and mentoring.

We have initiated sponsoring our annual
Young Investigators Symposium to
showcase new scientists and their innovative research.  If you, a colleague, or
a student are interested in presenting to our group, please contact us at

[email protected].  We are interested in hearing about your work!

Please join us at one of our future events!
