| I used to wonder why, when Jesus did so many miracles in the Bible, we didn�t see any happening today. I�d never seen a crippled man walk or a blind man regain his sight. Could it be possible that miracles were left for Jesus� time and not us? Then I went on a missions trip to Peru. One of the biggest things that they talked about and prepared us for was praying over people for healings. I was excited. These people had seen it done before, so it must be possible. We were going to do what Jesus had done in the Bible! And we did, many times. There was a man with back problems. They went away after we prayed for him. A couple men had problems where their back was not in alignment and their legs were uneven. After our prayers, their legs were normal. One man had blurry vision and couldn�t read. After we prayed for him, God restored his vision and he was able to pick up a book and read it allowed to us. A woman with breast cancer could feel her tumor before we prayed for her. After the prayer, the tumor was gone. A man�s kidney stopped hurting after he committed his life to Christ. A pastor could see light out of his blind eye. Miracles DO happen, when you believe in God and trust in Him to make them happen. Jesus said, in John14:12, �I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing.� So many amazing things can be done when you put your faith in Christ! Emily, 15 |
