Pat Kennedy

is a specialist in preschool movement and dance for the young child. She has a Master of Education Degree from Madison College and has been teaching dance and movement in the Shendandoah Valley since 1978. She has lent her talents to the City and County Recreation Departments as well as numerous private dance studios and performing companies throughout the Shenandoah Valley. Pat continues her movement, dance and teacher training by attending and facilitating a variety of seminars and workshops. Pat has taught the Primary Movement and Primary Theatre classes for the Harrisonburg City Schools' Summer Enrichment Program for the past seven years. For the past three summers Pat has taught creative movement and improvisation classes for Blue Ridge Community College's "Learning Can Be Fun" program. She also teaches a year long child development class for early childhood professionals who are candidates for the Child Development Associate credential. Pat has dedicated her career to young people and under her gentle supervision and loving guidance the inherent potential in each student flourishes.
