  Memory: Singing with the OP Chorus during a White House Staff Christmas Party in front of President Reagan.
  Never Thought: Toured Europe for forty days in the summer of 1993 with my college choir. While there, performed in London for William & Mary's 300th anniversary. Audience members included Lady Thatcher and Queen Elizabeth.
  Interesting: Honeymooned in the Canadian Rockies. Stops included Banff National Park and a walk on a glacier where I drank from a stream of fresh glacier water.
  Music: Van Halen -- although, I'm more embarrassed for them since their last album.
  Significant Other: There are rumors about some beer-fueled leg-touching incident, but the details are sketchy. My wife, Christine, and I started dating late in college, and were married in August 1998.
  Bio: Graduated from William & Mary in '95, and afterwards, worked for three different employers in the fields of research, writing, and technical analysis. I worked for a now-defunct systems consulting firm, ISSI Consulting Group, for a couple of years, followed by a few years with the Color Pigments Manufacturers Association. I'm now employed by Electronic Data Systems (EDS). Expecting to graduate from George Mason in August 2002 with an MBA. The first time I saw my husband he was walking down the hallway with a 12 pk of Bud tucked under his arm. I thought this guy looked like Hulk Hogan. Brett and I really hit off. We had our first date three days later, and ended up marrying four years later.

  Change: I wish I could have known what I wanted to do with my life after I graduated. I felt like I wasted a lot of time in college trying to figure out what I wanted to do.
  Bio: When I graduated from high school I went to NOVA and got a part-time job for Prince William County Schools as a substitute teacher. I had no idea what I wanted to do -- in fact I didn't want to go to college after school, but ended up there anyway. In November 1991 I met my future husband, Brett and we married in May 1995. After NOVA I went on to George Mason University. In my senior year I declared my major. I received my B.A in English Literature with a concentration in the Medieval/Renaissance era. After G.M.U I transferred to Marymount University where I received my master's in NK - 8th grade Education in May 2001. During my spring semester in 1999 (which was supposed to be my second to the last semester before I graduated) I became pregnant. Five months into the pregnancy I found I was going to have twins. On November 17, 1999 Noah and Nathaniel (identical) were born -- one month early. Currently, I am a stay at home mom and plan to be for another four years.

  Significant Other: He detailed cars at Battlefield Ford; I was the Service Dept. cashier. He would always ask me to "dump that loser (Matt Mayes) and give me a try", but I never gave him a second thought. He was a hippie, not what I considered my type. Eventually, I did dump that "loser". On my last day of work at Battlefield Ford, in 1993, he was my last stop out the door. The look he gave me as he watched me drive away showed me that there was a good heart in there somewhere. We hooked up the next day and have been inseparable since.

  Bio: Dated and lived with Matt Mayes until 1993. In 1993, I fell into my current career in mortgage banking and also fell in love with my husband. I've been in mortgage banking ever since. Relocated to Owensboro, Kentucky to head up a new department at Great Financial Mortgage in 1995. Went through major emotional strains during those 7 months in Kentucky. Moved back to Manassas and purchased our current townhouse in July of 1995. Received real estate license in 1996. Continuously battling anxiety and related ailments. Purchased 27 acres in Madison County in 2000. Currently involved in the planning of the upcoming construction of our new home. Have two pit bulls (real sweeties) and one kitty.   Significant Other: Chris McNierney (my fianc�) and I met in middle school, and went to school together until our junior year in high school. His father got stationed in Europe and he finished high school there. We went to different colleges, but still kept in touch and remained friends. Until I moved back to Virginia in 1999, we never lived in the same place. He had an extra Jimmy Buffet ticket that summer and asked me to come along. We've been together ever since, are living together now, and are getting married in April 2002.

Alas, the love was unrequited. He was far to involved with his baseball cards to fall for a girl with pigtails. All that changed when we bumped into each other at a New Employee Orientation class. As I facilitated the class, I noticed that one of my company's new hires was my 5th grade love, Jack Kiefer! He remembered my pigtails and, within no time at all, he forgot about his baseball cards.

  Bio: I attended Mary Washington College in Fredericksburg. While I was there I studied English, Theater, Art, and Religion. I even roomed with OPHS graduate Ashley Talbott one year! By chance, I landed a job in Human Resources as a temp and it clicked. If I had to have a job in the corporate world, HR was a good fit. Within six months the Canadian company that brought me on as a temp hired me and I aggressively began my career in HR. In early 1999 I met Jack, my significant other. By summer 2000 we bought a house together in Manassas were we currently live with our cat Aja. In the fall of 2000 I began working at NameTree as their Sr. HR Generalist and within a few months was promoted to their HR and Marketing Manager.

Went to radioman school and then to Astoria Oregon (Goonies Rule). Coast Guard offered voluntary rif (if you wanted out they let you) I took my chance and ran to school. Met a girl got sidetracked from school; broke up with girl 5 yrs later finished school, strikingly ironic. Girl and I are still good friends by the way, better torture that way :oP The Queen of England thing is true, I was within arms reach but all I could think was "International Incident" then again my friend may have been whispering that to me.     Memory: Singing with the OP Chorus during a White House Staff Christmas Party in front of President Reagan.
    Never Thought: Toured Europe for forty days in the summer of 1993 with my college choir. While there, performed in London for William & Mary's 300th anniversary. Audience members included Lady Thatcher and Queen Elizabeth.
    Interesting: Honeymooned in the Canadian Rockies. Stops included Banff National Park and a walk on a glacier where I drank from a stream of fresh glacier water.
    Music: Van Halen -- although, I'm more embarrassed for them since their last album.
    Significant Other: There are rumors about some beer-fueled leg-touching incident, but the details are sketchy. My wife, Christine, and I started dating late in college, and were married in August 1998.
    Bio: Graduated from William & Mary in '95, and afterwards, worked for three different employers in the fields of research, writing, and technical analysis. I worked for a now-defunct systems consulting firm, ISSI Consulting Group, for a couple of years, followed by a few years with the Color Pigments Manufacturers Association. I'm now employed by Electronic Data Systems (EDS). Expecting to graduate from George Mason in August 2002 with an MBA. In my free-time, my wife Christine and I enjoy working down the list of Washingtonian's "Best Cheap Eats in D.C.", getting a little fresh air while hiking in the Shenandoah, and visiting brew pubs wherever we go.

    Memory: My favorite high school memory would have to be my three-day weekends and four-day school weeks. Also, joke time during my 12th grade creative writing class with Jen M., Julie M., Tom, and Rick.
    Best Thing: The best thing that has happened to me since high school would be the birth of my boys and getting through college.
    Never Thought: I never thought I would ever become a teacher because I HATED going to school.

    Significant Other: I met my husband through my best friend in high school, Karen Petty. She had a friend she met in college that lived in Woodbridge (Eric). Anyway, Karen and Eric wanted to set me up with one of Eric's friends. I almost didn't go to the party (I didn't like the idea if being set up because I thought it made me look desperate!). The first time I saw my husband he was walking down the hallway with a 12 pk of Bud tucked under his arm. I thought this guy looked like Hulk Hogan. Brett and I really hit off. We had our first date three days later, and ended up marrying four years later.

    Change: I wish I could have known what I wanted to do with my life after I graduated. I felt like I wasted a lot of time in college trying to figure out what I wanted to do.
    Bio: When I graduated from high school I went to NOVA and got a part-time job for Prince William County Schools as a substitute teacher. I had no idea what I wanted to do -- in fact I didn't want to go to college after school, but ended up there anyway. In November 1991 I met my future husband, Brett and we married in May 1995. After NOVA I went on to George Mason University. In my senior year I declared my major. I received my B.A in English Literature with a concentration in the Medieval/Renaissance era. After G.M.U I transferred to Marymount University where I received my master's in NK - 8th grade Education in May 2001. During my spring semester in 1999 (which was supposed to be my second to the last semester before I graduated) I became pregnant. Five months into the pregnancy I found I was going to have twins. On November 17, 1999 Noah and Nathaniel (identical) were born -- one month early. Currently, I am a stay at home mom and plan to be for another four years.

    Best Thing: The best thing that has happened since high school is marrying my soul mate, Tracy. He has helped me to appreciate my family in a way I never did when I was a teen brat. He has also shown me that success doesn't just pertain to career, but whether you are happy in life. DON'T BECOME YOUR JOB!!! WHEN IT IS NO LONGER THERE, YOUR FAMILY WILL BE!!!

    Significant Other: He detailed cars at Battlefield Ford; I was the Service Dept. cashier. He would always ask me to "dump that loser (Matt Mayes) and give me a try", but I never gave him a second thought. He was a hippie, not what I considered my type. Eventually, I did dump that "loser". On my last day of work at Battlefield Ford, in 1993, he was my last stop out the door. The look he gave me as he watched me drive away showed me that there was a good heart in there somewhere. We hooked up the next day and have been inseparable since.

    Bio: Dated and lived with Matt Mayes until 1993. In 1993, I fell into my current career in mortgage banking and also fell in love with my husband. I've been in mortgage banking ever since. Relocated to Owensboro, Kentucky to head up a new department at Great Financial Mortgage in 1995. Went through major emotional strains during those 7 months in Kentucky. Moved back to Manassas and purchased our current townhouse in July of 1995. Received real estate license in 1996. Continuously battling anxiety and related ailments. Purchased 27 acres in Madison County in 2000. Currently involved in the planning of the upcoming construction of our new home. Have two pit bulls (real sweeties) and one kitty. No kids yet, I don't want my children to experience life in what our cities have become.

    Memory: Sneaking out of the house (numerous times) to go on moonlight boat rides with my friends.
    Best Thing: Moved away from Virginia and lived in Wisconsin for three years. Proved I could make it on my own in a place I didn't know anyone to begin with. A wonderful experience that I wouldn't trade for the world, but am glad that I moved back to Virginia to be close to family and friends.
    Never Thought: Found a love in outdoor adventure activities including rock climbing, repelling and skydiving!
    Interesting: Taught Sex Ed to middle school students. Not the most fun, but definitely interesting! Such stories...

    Significant Other: Chris McNierney (my fianc�) and I met in middle school, and went to school together until our junior year in high school. His father got stationed in Europe and he finished high school there. We went to different colleges, but still kept in touch and remained friends. Until I moved back to Virginia in 1999, we never lived in the same place. He had an extra Jimmy Buffet ticket that summer and asked me to come along. We've been together ever since, are living together now, and are getting married in April 2002.

Moved back to Virginia to be closer to my family in 1999 and lost my stepbrother to Cystic Fibrosis shortly thereafter. Was Public Relations and Events Director at a Chamber of Commerce for a year and a half, and I'm currently a meeting planner for an association in Old Town Alexandria.     Memory: There are a bunch... They would include Shep Langenheim stealing my apple everyday in Miss Polzin's class, practicing forensics with the whole team, snickering through all of my classes for four years with Tricy Sincavage, and "visiting colleges" with my then boyfriend, Kirby Brendsel.
    Never Thought: Sky-diving a la natural.
    Significant Other: Jack and I met originally in 5th grade in Mrs. Ripple's 5th grade class. Oh, how I loved him! Not only was he cute, but he also was never rude in class or mean to girls. Alas, the love was unrequited. He was far to involved with his baseball cards to fall for a girl with pigtails. All that changed when we bumped into each other at a New Employee Orientation class. As I facilitated the class, I noticed that one of my company's new hires was my 5th grade love, Jack Kiefer! He remembered my pigtails and, within no time at all, he forgot about his baseball cards.

    Bio: I attended Mary Washington College in Fredericksburg. While I was there I studied English, Theater, Art, and Religion. I even roomed with OPHS graduate Ashley Talbott one year! I graduated with a degree in English and quickly realized that there wasn't a career out there that allowed me to read novels all day. By chance, I landed a job in Human Resources as a temp and it clicked. If I had to have a job in the corporate world, HR was a good fit. Within six months the Canadian company that brought me on as a temp hired me and I aggressively began my career in HR. In early 1999 I met Jack, my significant other. By summer 2000 we bought a house together in Manassas were we currently live with our cat Aja. In the fall of 2000 I began working at NameTree as their Sr. HR Generalist and within a few months was promoted to their HR and Marketing Manager.

    HS Crush: Prey always know their stalkers
    Memory: Hot-tubbing at Legrows with friends. The maid narced us out for skipping that day. I still think the only person to beat my skip record is Amiee Vranken. I skipped 102 days my junior year and 75 my senior year, best part no summer school. Slackin' rules.
    Best Thing: Woodstock '94. Bought the best bong EVER. It broke after I gave it to my brother for a birthday present. I took it as a sign.
    Never Thought: Rip off the recording industry by not buying albums for the last 5 years and copying friends CD's into mp3s. My jukebox now has over 400 CD's, it's nice.
    Interesting: I didn't slap the queen of England when I had the chance. Bermuda rules.

    Bio: Okay the long version. Grab a beer and pretend to be interested... Joined the Coast Guard, stationed in Cordova Alaska for 13 months. Sucked BALLS. Went to radioman school and then to Astoria Oregon (Goonies Rule). Coast Guard offered voluntary rif (if you wanted out they let you) I took my chance and ran to school. Met a girl got sidetracked from school; broke up with girl 5 yrs later finished school, strikingly ironic. Girl and I are still good friends by the way, better torture that way :oP The Queen of England thing is true, I was within arms reach but all I could think was "International Incident" then again my friend may have been whispering that to me. We already knew each other through a campus organization, so Molly dared me to go over to his party and kiss him. So I did. And now we're married.

I would have loved to have stayed in Harrisonburg, but after graduation I waited tables while I substituted at Hylton High School, where I also coached the JV cheerleaders for one year. From there I went to Gar-Field, where I have coached the Indianettes and have taught English for the past five years. I'm on my way to Forest Park in the Fall. Doug and I dated for about five years before we got married in 1999. We own a townhouse in Alexandria and he is a CPA at KPMG in Tyson's.

BUT, by November, Chris' family moved to S.C. and although tough at times, we continued a long distance relationship for about 4 years between high school and Chris' time in the Army. Chris then moved back to Manassas in 1992 and we continued where we left off. We finished school, lived together for almost 3 years, and then married in 1998--10 years after we started dating. If I'd known it would be this good, I would've never waited so long!

Sanjay and I got married not too long after we met, but I would have liked it to have met earlier, he has been just great!
    Bio: I went to JMU from 1991-1995; I started out as a Math major, then changed to Biology after 2 years. I had to scrabble a bit to get all the classes finished in time, but I graduated from JMU in May 1995. After that, I was jobless and considered several options - I started applying to graduate school to study Entomology (yes, that means bugs), applied to the Peace Corps, talked with an army recruiter to try to get into Medical Entomology Research and was applying for tons of Jobs. The army guy was clueless, so that got dropped quickly, I did everything I needed for the Peace Corps, but they couldn't send me off for almost another year. After a ton of job applications, I finally got one interview with the Agricultural Research Service (USDA) in Charleston, SC. I got that job, and left for Charleston in Jan. of 1996 (3 months later I got accepted into Grad school, but I stayed at the job). I loved living in Charleston, but the job got kind of old. I stuck around for about 4 years, and in the mean time I bought a cute little house, met Sanjay and got married in 1998. We later went to India and before then and during that time I started creating web pages. After we got back from India, I decided to go into computer programming (after contemplating Pharmacy, I really liked chemistry, but those pharmacists look so bored, the schooling would take way too long and besides I have always loved playing with computers). So, we moved to Atlanta in early 2000. We bought a condo here, I am now half way through a Master's program in Information Technology, and I am currently working for Atlanta Public Schools as a web developer.     Bio: Left high school & got married 3 years later. Moved to Texas, back to VA, then to California City, Ca. & then on to Edwards Air Force Base, Ca. I worked as a Family Day Care Provider & then worked at the Child Development Center. I had a preemie son in 1997 at Antelope Valley Hospital in Lancaster, Ca. We enjoyed trips to Catalina Island, Long Beach, Universal Studios, Holly Wood, L.A., Las Vegas, Sea World & San Diego & the Feline Breeding Compound for Tigers, Lions, Leopards, Etc. in Rosamond, Ca. We also watched as the space shuttle landed on base & was placed on the 747 for flight back to Fl. Upon moving back to Manassas I worked at Food Lion as a night restocker. Then got a great job with Geico Insurance Company. Moved out to Fredericksburg. Spent 2 months on bed rest & 7 weeks in the hospital before having my last son Justin on Feb.16, 2001. At 3 months old he started having spells of not breathing & going completely limp. I started spending 3-4 days at a time in the hospitals pediatric department w/ Justin. Then 2 weeks later I found out our daycare provider of 2 1/2 years was leaving my two youngest ones home alone, so I quit my job & started Home Day Care & my husband & I began our website Privacy Exempt in an effort to help other parents research the back ground of their providers. Since being back in Va. we have enjoyed trips to Maine to a cabin owned by our great aunt on Long Pond in the Belegrade Lakes near Augusta, Corolla N. C. & Whalehead Beach N.C. as well as the climbing of Currituck Lighthouse. And what would living in VA be if we didn't go to Kings Dominion.

Matt was a Mechanic for a while; I continued to work for First Virginia Bank. In June of 1994 we were married. In October of 1995 our daughter Courtney Olivia was born, and shortly after that I quit at First VA Bank and started working for C & L Contractors as the Accounts Payable Manager.     Memory: Marching Band Camp Summer of 1988. I had just moved to Manassas in Dec 97 and at band camp I met all of my friends that I would never forget. Unfortunately, I have not kept in contact with most of them.

    Significant Other: I met Billy from my ex boyfriend Frankie. Every one I hung around will remember him (because they all hated him). Billy& I met when I went out on his boat with Frankie (who I was still with). I broke up with Frankie in August '91 and in October I started seeing Billy. I have been with him ever since. It sure doesn't seem like it has been ten years. I could say a lot more about the story (like Frankie turned out to be the loser everyone thought he was -he is in jail) but it would bore everyone.

Eventually Billy wants to move to the boonies in North Carolina and me being a city girl is terrified of the thought but I promised him we would.     Interesting: Hmmmm, I feel like I am repeating myself, but here goes. I was in Honduras for a year and a half and was there during Hurricane Mitch. The whole experience of being in Honduras was incredibly eye opening; Hurricane Mitch (which devastated the country) was an interesting addition. Traveling in Egypt was fascinating I had a chance to go to Jerusalem as well.

    Memory: Two fond memories: 1) Cutting class to go flying in the afternoon... it always seemed so much more practical than AP Physics (apologies to Dave, aka Mr. Button). 2) Driving the "Honey Bee" to the prom. Naturally my date was impressed!
    Best Thing: Living in downtown Waikiki when I was lieutenant in the Marine Corps. Every morning I wake up and try to devise a way of getting back there for good but my liver heartily objects to such scheming.
    Never Thought: I never thought I'd live to be 28, but it's not so bad. The gray hairs aren't too prevalent yet, and the back hair is still manageable.
    Interesting: Serving around the world in the United States Marine Corps. Tradition has it that, when told by a ship's captain of the existence of flying fish, King George of England remarked that the storyteller should "tell it to the Marines." Whether this was because Marines will believe anything or because they have in fact seen everything remains a subject of debate. Based on my experiences, I feel like I've seen everything (or at least what is worth seeing).
    Significant Other: No interesting stories about meeting anyone, but I can tell some pretty good ones about breaking up.
    Moved: Six times: Charlottesville, Quantico, Honolulu, Okinawa (twice), Bahrain, Alexandria
    Jobs: Two: 1) U.S. Marine and 2) unemployed vagrant (i.e. graduate student)
    Change: I often wish I'd kept up my flying, but it got too expensive while I was at college. After that, I picked up other hobbies. Maybe someday, when I'm earning a steady paycheck, I'll start again.
    Bio: I went to UVA graduated in 1995 and joined the Marine Corps. After completing entry-level training in 1996, I was stationed in Hawaii for duty as an infantry officer. I served in the land of Aloha until 1999, in the process completing two seven-month deployments to the Far East. From there I transferred to Manama, Bahrain, for duty with a counter-terrorism unit. I left active duty in September 2000, departing the Middle East just in the nick of time to miss the latest wave of anti-American hysteria that the intifada and the attack on the USS Cole spurred. Now I go to graduate school at Georgetown, where I'm working toward my masters in international relations. I continue to serve in the Marine Corps Reserve because, though I enjoy school, I miss the thrill of leading Marines.

    Memory: My favorite high school memory is working on the student newspaper. Never Thought: I have been on two Outward Bound trips. I went winter backpacking and ice climbing in Maine and backpacking and canoeing in Washington.

    Bio: Shortly after graduation from OPHS, I started studying for my BS in Computer Science (Aug '91). Summer of '93, I find out one of my cousins had AIDS. Sep '93, I landed a co-op job with the Department of Defense (DoD) developing client/server information systems for a small office within the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA). Dec '93, boyfriend #1 and I split after together almost four years, which of course no one knew about. I finally got the nerve to call my sick cousin. Jan '94, I returned to school and my grades suffer due to the breakup and coming out on campus. Later that summer of '94, I told my parents. Oct '94, my cousin passed. Spring '95, I moved to Alexandria, VA near Landmark Mall. Spring '96, I quit the DoD job and start working for SRA International, Inc. Jan '97, I finally graduated from GMU. I met boyfriend #2. Aug '97 I moved to Old Town Alexandria, on Princess Street. Jan '98, I quit SRA International to start working at Conquest Systems, Inc. to develop web enabled information systems. Jun '98, I moved in with boyfriend #2. Dec '98, the Company retreat was in Grand Cayman! July '99, boyfriend #2 and I split, and I moved to a studio in Crystal City. First time living alone (and I LOVE it!). Dec '99, the Company retreat was in St. Thomas! Jan '01, the Company retreat was at Atlantis, Bahamas! Jan '02, I'm hearing we'll be in Cancun! :o) Currently, I'm still working at Conquest and living in Crystal City... and loving it all! For now I plan on staying where I am until I can afford to buy a place.

    Memory: There are lots of good ones... neighborhood football games, dancing at Sensations (wasn't that the name of it?), all of the cheerleading competitions (especially at King's Dominion), beach week (Morgan, it still ranks up there in the top ten!), but my all-time favorite is probably Junior Prom.

    Best Thing: I went on a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to Osorno, Chile during 1995-1996. Just last year I fell in love and got married...August 12, 2000.
    Never Thought: Live in Japan. It's an adventure!
    Interesting: I've had the privilege of greeting presidents, ambassadors, and dignitaries from other countries as a hostess at international events.
    Music: I don't think I'm embarrassed by any of my music. But, I love country music now and I hated it in high school.
    Significant Other: On the internet, believe it or not. We met in a chat room on LDS Singles.com and fell head over heels. We had so many things in common it was uncanny.

    Jobs: I've been a teacher, a bilingual bank associate, and a missionary since we graduated.
    Change: There are many things I would have done differently. But, I guess the major one would be how I handled college. I would have enjoyed it more.
    Bio: After graduation I moved to Provo, Utah to begin my sophomore year of college. I graduated in December of 1994 and went to California for the first time in my life with my grandmother, mom and sister as a graduation present. Two months later I entered the Missionary Training Center in Provo, Utah to learn Spanish fluently. Shortly thereafter I was in Chile. What a wonderful experience. I met beautiful people and learned a great deal about the culture of South American people. It was something I'll never forget. When I returned home in September of 1996 I lived in Virginia for a short time substituting in Prince William County Schools but then moved to Alabama to care for my sick grandmother. I began working in a bank's corporate office as a bilingual representative and continued that job until I got my first teaching position. I taught ESL to K-12 students my first year. Then I returned to Virginia, but now in Fairfax County and taught 6th graders in Spanish. I loved that job. I kept wanting to try something new and applied to jobs around the world. During the time I met my husband Ken. We married six days before we moved to Japan where I taught Spanish to fourth graders last year and fifth graders this year. Who knows what is next?

I received a teaching position in Floyd County, VA (a rural county outside of Roanoke, VA.) I lived in Roanoke for two years, '97-'99 by myself and moved in with my parents in the summer of '99, who moved to Roanoke in Nov. '98. I lived there until got married in June 2000. My wonderful husband, Jimmy, works for Virginia Tech in the Athletic Department. (GO HOKIES!!) We lived in Blacksburg, VA for 10 months after getting married and purchased our first home in May in Christiansburg, VA.     Best Thing: The best thing that has happened since high school is getting married and giving birth to my son, Connor. Connor was born April 12, 2001. He weighed 7lb 12oz, and was 20 inches long. I emphasize, "was" because he is growing like a weed! His father, Steve, and I are overjoyed! Parenthood has been the most exciting and demanding adventure.
    Never Thought: I never thought that I would marry right out of college, but I married Steve exactly one month after graduating from Virginia Tech.
    Interesting: Having lived in Germany for 7 years before attending OPHS, I wanted to go back for a visit. Steve and I took a whirlwind trip through Europe with stops in London, Munich, Venice and Lugano, Switzerland. I was able to show him the castles, take a gondola ride under the Rialto Bridge, walk on a glacier, shop at Harrods and ride a double-decker bus. We had a fabulous time. It remains one of my all-time favorite trips.
    Significant Other: Steve and I met in biology class at school. I was at VA Tech and had to drop out due to illness. Steve had just gotten out of the Air Force and was going to NOVA for the first two years. He and I met at NOVA and started dating. I returned to Tech and Steve started there a year later. I graduated in December of 1995 and we married in January of 1996.

Got married to Steve Deckard January 13, 1996 and began working for First Union's Capital Management Group in Roanoke, VA. Transferred with First Union to Charlotte, NC in July 1997.     Never Thought: Become an RN. I was too squeamish. Never would have thought that I could deal with the things I deal with on a daily basis.
    Interesting: Hospice nursing. I love working with the terminally ill. It's rewarding to help people come to peace with their lives and to help them die comfortably.

    Significant Other: I met him while I was at lunch one day with my boyfriend at the time. He came to meet a friend of his who happened to be friends with my boyfriend. I was telling this story that my boyfriend at the time wasn't really listening to, but Braz was riveted. He really listened to me, and got excited about my story. I told myself I deserved someone like him. 8 months later we started dating.

    Change: I don't think I would do anything differently. Sure there have been some times that have sucked, but as a result of those times I have a wonderful husband, a great job, a nice house in a good neighborhood, a wonderful family and I am pregnant with our first child due in September. I guess I regret that I haven't kept in touch with some of my old friends better.
    Comments: After graduating from high school I went to NC State in Raleigh, NC. I spent 3 years there getting my social education, and then I decided I wanted to go into nursing, so I transferred to Lynchburg College in Lynchburg, VA. It took me 3 more years to finish my Bachelors because I had not taken any nursing classes. I met my husband, Braswell Brandt (Braz for short), while I was at Lynchburg College. I graduated in 1997, took my boards to get my RN license, got married, and started working inpatient oncology in Lynchburg, Virginia that summer. I worked there until my husband got a job offer in Williamsburg, Virginia. We moved to Williamsburg in August of 2000 and I started working as a hospice nurse, which is a type of home health for the terminally ill. Found out I was pregnant in January. I've had multiple ultrasounds this summer revealing a healthy girl who's name will be Emma Elisabeth and she's due September 24 (my husband's birthday). I feel like I'm just about to start a whole new life. We are both looking forward to parenthood. I plan to stop working once Emma's born and be a stay at home mom. A little nervous about that, but I'm glad we are in a position where we can afford it.

After Jim's many promotions (thankfully) we bought our first house in August 2000. It just happened to be the house in Dale City I grew up in.     Bio: Wow! Where to begin....I went to Mary Baldwin College (undergrad) in Staunton, Virginia. I graduated in 1995 with a BA in French and minor in studio art and biology. Then I lived in Africa for a year and did volunteer work in community development. Then I worked and lived in Louisville, KY for two years working in the national office of the Presbyterian Church, USA and worked with young adults and racial ethnic communities leading workshops on volunteer service opportunities in USA and overseas. Then I moved to Chicago, IL for two years and worked for a corporation called Andersen Consulting, working in Marketing and their contributions to charities and employee volunteerism program. During my time in Africa, I contracted malaria several times and came back to the USA with a weak immune system due to medications I was given for the malaria. I began to get quite sick and developed a severe case of chronic fatigue syndrome and after three years of illness, recovered my health through an Eastern Energy Healing and wellness system called Chun Do Sun Bup. I now work full time for them as an instructor and Director of Health Education and love it! I get to assist people to develop their own personal resources to manage stress and heal body and mind and its wonderful work. As I reread this...I realize that all of this probably sounds unbelievable but it is all actually true! I have had some adventures these last ten years and now that the blessing of my health has returned, I plan to have more in the future. I am sorry I won't be able to attend the reunion. I lived the furthest away from campus and said I would go if someone came to pick me up. From there it is history, 9 years ago!! Joe picked me up that night and never let me go! We were married in Manassas, in August 1998 after completing our Master's degrees at Virginia Tech.

    Bio: I attended West Virginia University from 1991 to 1995. I graduated in December 1995 with a Bachelor's in Education. I briefly returned to Manassas in January 1995 and substitute taught before beginning my Master's degree in August of '95. I moved to Blacksburg, VA and completed a Master's in Education, Curriculum, and Instruction in Dec. '97. My first major move was to Hampton, VA in Jan. '98 and I began my teaching career with Virginia Beach City Schools. My future husband (Joe) was and still is employed as a Geotechnical Engineer with the Department of Defense, Naval Air Station, Norfolk. (Joe actually completed his Master's degree at VT with Derrick Shelton.) After living in Hampton for 6 months, we moved to Virginia Beach and were married August 8, 1998 (same date as Michele Spenser-Musci) in Manassas. I have been a Special Educator for children with health impairments, autism, and learning and emotional disabilities for 3 years. We currently have no children but hope the future will bring some. I have traveled all over the place. Some of my more exciting adventures have been to Mt. Rainier, Washington State's Olympic Peninsula, Puerto Rico, and ocean kayaking off the coast of North Carolina. We will be traveling to Iceland and north of the Artic Circle in late July.

The best is just going to a simple high school football or basketball game...even sports like soccer, track, and wrestling... and get paid to watch. I love just taking it all in, and seeing sports in its purest form! I played semi-pro baseball for three years after college. Bet all you former jock-heads are surprised at that one..'eh? I have gotten to ride passenger going 140+ mph in a stock car at Martinsville Speedway. Being at big Bowl Games, the Stanley Cup, NBA and NFL playoffs still take the cake for me.

    Best Thing: The best thing that has happened to me since high school is my first job out of college. It allowed me to travel around the world and experience many different things while I was single and had very little responsibility.
    Never Thought: Something that I thought I would never do was to train for the Marine Corp. Marathon. I trained with a group for 9 months and 2 weeks. I will never forget that time in my life of getting up at 5 am to run and 7 pm to run again. I finished and that was enough for me.
    Interesting: The most interesting thing I have done in the past 10 years is to be involved in volunteer work with AIDS. During my free time I work with AIDS patients in NVA at a clinic. Sometimes it is the most depressing thing to have to do after work or on the weekends, but once I get there, the patients make it all worth it.
    Significant Other: I met my significant other at work. He was the Director of sales for the MCI account and I was a consultant. Needless to say we kept our dating a secret. When we got engaged I went to work for Road Runner/AOL. We will be getting married out in the Middleburg area on September 8, 2001.

    Bio: After high school, I went to Penn State for two years. I did really well as far as grades were concerned, but my parents could no longer afford to pay out-of-state tuition. I then decided to finish college at VA Tech, where I met my hubby. :0) After graduating from VT with a degree in Marketing Management, my father was diagnosed with both Parkinson's disease and prostate cancer. I wanted to help him somehow and decide to switch careers from business to medicine. Don't get me wrong . . . it's a pain in the neck to have to start all over but it's worth the hassle. I am currently a graduate student, working toward my PhD in Physical Therapy. I will have my final degree in May 2004.

    Bio: (For Matt and Kim Jenkins) We can't believe it is already our 10-year reunion! We are very excited to see everyone from high school. So what have we been up to the last 10 years? Matt was a Mechanic for a while; I continued to work for First Virginia Bank. In June of 1994 we were married. In October of 1995 our daughter Courtney Olivia was born, and shortly after that I quit at First VA Bank and started working for C & L Contractors as the Accounts Payable Manager. I worked there for about 2 � years. Around the same time we moved out to Fauquier County and love it out here in the country. Then in September of 1998 our daughter Emily Nicole was born. Not long after Emily was born we found out that I was pregnant again!! By this Matt has quit being a mechanic and has gotten a job with Coffeewood Correctional Center as a Correctional Officer. Madison Paige was born in September of 1999. Now I am a stay at home mommy raising our three beautiful little girls! I have my own home business selling Pampered Chef kitchen tools and selling AVON. I love being a mom and taking care of my family. Matt continues to work for Coffeewood and is waiting on callbacks from an interview with Orange Town Police and has an interview scheduled with Fairfax County Police Dept. Then, almost a year later, while in a boring relationship, I ran into Pete and couldn't stop thinking about him. I soon broke up with my current boyfriend and called Pete the next day to ask him out. He accepted and we've been together ever since!

    Memory: Prom with John Trottman ('90). He was such a great friend and flirt. I wasn't dating anyone and didn't like anyone so he asked me to my prom so that I would go. I had the best night ever. He made me feel like the most beautiful person there, including serenading me up on a chair. We went out a few times after that but realized we could only be flirt friends.

    Significant Other: It was November 1994. A few months earlier I had broken up with my boyfriend of 1.5 years and was spending many weekends at home with my parents enjoying the solitary life for a while. One of my best guy friends, Jeremy Naegle, had just come back from his Church Mission in Las Vegas (Mormon) and came to visit. My parents begged him to take me out so I would stop driving them crazy. He took me to a church dance called the Dance of the Decades on November 4th. There he introduced me to some of his friends. One of which was a guy who wouldn't even turn his attention away from a conversation to shake my hand and say hello. I thought what an arrogant jerk. His thoughts were that he gave me full attention but that I gave him a snotty, "oh hi". Either way, both first impressions stunk! Later on while dancing, each of us commented to Jeremy about the cute person dancing, the good moves and how they had a nice butt. We hooked up later that night for a party at a friend's house and dated ever since. It still makes us laugh to realize how much our thinking was alike that night and that our butts not our personalities was what brought us together...

    Change: First year of college - I should have gone to NOVA instead of blowing more than $10,000. High school came so easy for me that I just assumed I could fly through college without really applying myself. Not so. That first year was such a screw up. Really bad grades, lots of partying, four hours away from parental supervision... I had lots of fun but it set me back a few years.
    Bio: After graduating, I went to Radford University for a year. After moving back home in 1992 to improve my grades, I started working full-time at IKEA, attending Tai kwon do classes and going to NOVA Wdbg full-time. In just under two years I had obtained my second tip brown belt but was growing tired of it so I quit and also received my Associates Degree in Liberal Arts. Soon after, in late 1993, I became a live-in nanny for three wonderful children. I loved my job but it was not able to completely pay my bills so in late 1994 I joined the Federal Government. Around that same time I met my future husband, Jason. A little over year later we were married in the summer of 1996. We had our son, Aiden in February 1999. As soon as Jason is hired by the Fairfax County Fire Department, we plan on having our second child and probably having a house built somewhere south of here in VA.

    Memory: My favorite high school memories are of forensics and marching band. No matter how much pain the early rising or long practice or annoying schoolmates caused me, I loved every minute. Here's one that a few might remember: my sister and I taught the 4N6 team a card game, Egyptian Ratscrew, to play while we were awaiting results. It took me the whole year to find out that the reason the guys loved to play it so much was because when the girls leaned forward to slap the deck, the guys could see down their dresses. Great. And I thought it was just a good stress reliever.
    Best Thing: The best thing that has happened to me since high school is my training in music. It was my dream to conduct, perform, and write music, and I was able to get two degrees to help me towards my goal.
    Never Thought: I never thought I would kiss another girl. I thought I was the straightest person I knew. Advice to all - stay away from Boone's farm. It is an evil, evil thing.

First job (temping). '94-finally get the hang of filling out forms too late. Lose full scholarship. Disaster! '95 watch friends graduate, feel disheartened, especially when my true love starts dating his lab partner at med school. Work full time at a piano store as office manager. Save money to transfer. '96-move to IL. Apply to music conservatories in Chicago. '97-'99 attend the Chicago Musical College as a composition major. Graduate with honors. Fall in love for the second and third times. '00-'01 Continue at the conservatory for my Master's. Fall in love for the last time. Yay!

Chris was in the Marines at Quantico and at the time I was an admin. assistant in Alexandria. In August of 1997, we left for Oklahoma to return to Chris's home state. We lived in Oklahoma City for 3 1/2 years. I worked for an employee benefit company administering cafeteria plans. Chris spent his time in the apprenticeship program as a Pipe fitter going to school at nights. Our daughter, Taylor was born in March of 2000. We made our trip back to Virginia for a job opportunity that Chris fell upon. I arrived back home in November of 2000. I couldn't wait to get back! Recently, though, Chris and I have separated and he is living back in Oklahoma now with our two kids.

    HS Crush: No secrets, I made it pretty obvious
    Memory: Beach Week. Technically it was after high school, but it was definitely the best memory.
    Best Thing: Going to Virginia Tech for undergrad and vet school.
    Never Thought: Stick my entire arm up a cow's ass. Don't worry, I didn't do it for fun, it was a vet school thing.
    Interesting: Went caving above the New River in Blacksburg. Saw my life flash before my eyes a few times, but it was a lot of fun.

I followed her up to Delaware where she did an internship for 1 year and I worked in a vet clinic. We both hated Delaware so then we moved back to Virginia and reside in Fauquier County.

    Memory: I have so many it is hard to choose. I would have to say going to Atlanta with the choir.

    Never Thought: I have managed to become a Wife, a Mother, a businesswoman, a Sunday school teacher, a health care provider for an ill Mother, and a school aide. All this together is what I thought I could never do, I have become a fulfilled individual. Interesting: I work with children from all walks of life. I have taught preschool and I help out with children a church. I also help with a homeless ministry that our church has, in which we actually go into the streets and under bridges to feed hungry children. I am now a Manager at a children's retail store, which holds daily activities for children. Working with kids has been the most rewarding of my accomplishments.

    Bio: When I left school I took a job as an Assistant Dining Room Manager at Shoney's. After two years of that, I met my Husband. We dated for a year, moved to Fredericksburg, had a baby boy, and moved back to Manassas. I started teaching preschool and had a baby girl two years later. After the birth of my Daughter, I took a job as a Pharmacy Technician where I remained for almost five years. I am currently a Guest's Services Manager for a children's retail chain where I have been for a year. Over all I have accomplished a great deal with a lot of support from God and family and I am happy with that.
