Welcome to the G-Zone's Birds of Prey page. Birds of Prey premiered on Wednesday, October 9th, 2002 on the The Warner Bros. Network, and ran until February 19th, 2003.

Birds of Prey is inspired by the comic of the same name, and is the story of Barbara Gordon, formerly the superhero Batgirl, who was paralyzed by the Joker seven years ago. The Joker, having been defeated by Batman, struck back at his loved ones, including Catwoman, with whom Batman sired a daughter named Helena. After Catwoman was murdered, a sixteen-year-old Helena went to live with Barbara, while the Joker was caught and sent to prison and Batman retired and left Gotham. To honor her mother's memory, Helena became the Huntress and fights crime with Barbara, who's now the techno-whiz called Oracle. They are joined by a young metahuman runaway named Dinah, who had visions seven years ago of Joker shooting Barbara and Catwoman's death.

As the "Birds of Prey", these young heroines are joined by Alfred Pennyworth, Bruce Wayne's longtime butler, while Helena seems to have recently drawn the attention of New Gotham Detective Jeese Reese, whose father has ties to the criminal underworld. Helena also frequents the offices of psychiatrist Harleen Quinzel, who was the Joker's lover under the name Harley Quinn. Unbeknowst to Helena, Harley is trying to restore the Joker's rule of Gotham.
