Dominican Outreach

Holy Week

What a wonderful week to have 40 young people with us who have come to serve their Lord. During the morning we have sportscamp, in the afternoon we have learning lab, and in the evening children's church. The days are filled with praise and thanksgiving.

Our volunteers this week are from Johnson Bible College in Tennessee. This is a small evangelical school that was founded to train preaching evangelists. Grove City College is from Pennsylvania. They were here last year and they bring a sense of adventure, fun, and lots of good Christian music. Bathroom for the Orphans

Marta is busy with building a new bathroom for the boys and also organizaing four tons of donations that have come in. Already donations have gone out to Haitian villages, area churches, and our own orphans. .

Field report from Good Samaritan Orphanage, Dominican Republic

End of Spring Break

Marta and I will celebrate Easter in Puerta Plata. We will have dropped off our last big group on Saturday and we will relax for a few days with our Dominican and American friends who live here.

Some of the parents of longterm volunteers will be flying in to spend a week with their children. We have a couple of medical workers coming and I think we will do some examinations of the children.

Marta and I have confirmed our plane reservations for April 13. We will arrive in Portland at 11 pm. We are looking forward to our return to the States for a few weeks. We are anxious to visit our friends throughout Portland and Vancouver and give them a first hand report. Our home church is preparing to send a group in the summer. Dale is ready to join the men's Bible Study group again and thanks them for their many prayers.
