This Website is devoted to Ukrainian-American mezzo-soprano Renata Babak, who performed at the stage of Kyiv Opera, Lviv Opera, Odesa Opera, the Moscow Bolshoi Opera and later when she escaped from Soviet regime performed in Hungary, Finland, Bulgaria, France, Italy, United States, and Canada.
For 20 years Renata Babak was
Head of the Voice Department of the Washington Conservatory of Music teaching voice, vocal
coaching, opera workshop, diction. And also she was
teaching in Graduate School, USDA.
Because of the Iron Curtain, which separated the former Soviet Union from other countries, it is now of public interest to discover another great voice, another name in the world of opera life.
