Birth Name: Dermot Mulroney

You may remember Dermot from such films as Staying Together and Where the Day Takes You.  Well, actually you probably won't remember him from those movies, but he was in them!  However, I'm sure you'll remember him as the object of Julia Roberts' and Cameron Diaz's affection in My Best Friend's Wedding.  He was also in Angels in the Outfield.  He played the bum father.  The picture just to the right with the three guys is from Staying Together, which was a movie also starring one of my ex boyfriends, Sean Astin.  Coincidentally, Where the Day Takes You also stars that same ex boyfriend.  I knew Dermot from My Best Friend's Wedding, but during Carrie and my Sean Astin Saturdays where we watched Sean Astin movies, I got to see Dermot in different roles.  I would suggest Staying Together to anybody.  It's an old HBO movie, but it's so cute.  Where the Day Takes You, on the other hand, is about a bunch of homeless drug users, so if you're not ready to see the stars at their worst, don't see it.
Dermot is married to Cathrine Keener, who he met while filming Survival Quest.  They have been married since 1990 and have one son named Clyde.  So, he's another one married with a kid.  Shucks.  I know how to pick them don't I?  But he's a cutie!  I guess that's why all of my boyfriends are married.  Oh well, I still own two movies he was in, that'll just have to do.
