About the driver
15 year old Brian Ouimette has always had an interest in racing. Even when he was 2 he was playing with his little matchbox cars. Around the age of 10 this whole dream of racing came a reality. His father started him in go-kart racing after purchasing a cheap car from one of his friends. Brian proved himself the first time out there. His rookie season he recieved a win and podiumed in every one of his 8 starts. Away from the track Brian is an outstanding tenth grade student.

In 2004 Brian competed in his local racing series at Pomfret speedway and also raced in a few divisional races all over New England and New York. After Proving himself and winning his first divisional race, last year he attempted to race the WKA Northeast Speedway Pavement series, Northeast Pavement series and the local series at Pomfret  Speedway on a full schedule in 2005. That went really well and Brian won 4 out of 5 of his possible championships and only lost the last one by 1 point. For the 2006 season he wil be racing a new division and not in go-karts. Brian will be racing Legends Cars.

News

Ouimette Racing had a great year of go-kart racing. We recieved first 16 times in 2005 and most of those wins came in divisional races. After all of those wins we ended up winning 4 out of the possible 5 championships that we entered. The fifth one we only lost by one point too. Due to our success in 2005 we have decided to make a move up to the legends cars at Waterford Speedbowl in 2006. This is a big jump for us but we believe we will do well in 2006. 2006 will bring a lot of racing for us again. We will also continue to race a go-kart at Pomfret Speedway on Sundays. Thank-You for all of your support in 2005 and we hope to see you again in 2006.

We ran our first race of the 2006 season in the Legends car. In that race we ran really good considering I am the youngest racer at Waterford Speedbowl. We ended up finishing in 7th place out of the 18 cars that started.
