God�s Little Angel

I looked down at your beautiful face
And held you tightly in my arms
I had dreamed about this moment for nine months
I was so anxious to get you home.

I was blinded by the light
For God had different plans for us
At six days old you had open-heart surgery
I didn�t want to believe it was true.

You held on strongly for a month
Then God saw you were getting weak
I guess he needed another beautiful angel
The day that he took you.

As I lie here thinking of you
A tear rolls down my cheek
I try to be strong; I try to be brave
I know your in Heaven, I know your safe.

Another day gone, another tear falls
I say my prayers; I close my eyes
I see your chubby cheeks, your bright blue eyes
I softly whisper, �Goodnight, I will love you forever God�s Little Angel.�
