Buddy's Neighlicious Nicker Treats
2 apples
2 carrots
1/3 cup molasses
1/3 cup corn oil
1/3 cup applesauce
*1 tbsp. ground flax seed
*3 tbsp. water
1 cup uncooked oats
1-1/2 cups whole wheat flour
Grate apples and carrots. Put in a medium sized bowl and add molasses, corn oil, applesauce, *flax seed, and *water. Stir thoroughly, then add the oats and flour. Stir this thoroughly and then spoon about a tablespoon or so of batter onto a non-stick pan, or if you don't have one of these perhaps grease the pan, as the cookies are pretty sticky. Bake in oven at 350*F for around 10-15 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool. Then feed to your friend.
*The flax and water is an egg replacer that I use in cooking. You take the 1 tbsp. of ground flax seed and 3 tbsp. of water and mix together and let stand for around 2 minutes. It will get too thick if you let it stand for too long.
Note: These are horse treats, but I found that Chewie (dog) quite liked them too, I even tried a little piece, they're not bad.

Chewie's Goldenlicious Peanut Butter Cookies
1/4 cup oil
1/2 cup peanut butter
3 tbsp. molasses
1 tbsp. water
1/4 cup brown sugar
3/4 cup oats
2 tbsp. ground flax seed
1-1/2 cups whole wheat flour
2 tsp. baking powder
2 apples, grated
In a medium sized bowl add oil, peanut butter, molasses, water, brown sugar, and oats, stir well. Then add the flax seed, flour, and baking powder, stir these in well and then add the apple. You may need to use your hands to get the flour all mixed in. Sprinkle some flour on a clean surface and roll dough out to approximately 1/4-1/2" thickness, then cut out with desired cookie cutter, we used the medium sized dog cookie cutter, place cookies on a non-stick cookie sheet, if you do not own one of these greasing the pan
may be necessary. Bake in oven at 350*F for about 10 minutes, remove and let cool on wire racks. Then feed to your loved pet, who I'm sure will very much enjoy them!
Note: These are cookies for your dog, but are safe for humans to eat too, if you dare to try them, we did!
