OutBack is a small hobby rabbitry located near Raleigh, NC. We work with 50+ holes and should be expanded to 75 holes by September 2004. It is a true family hobby for us, Jana, John and 6 year old Sean all have their own rabbits and each actively shows their rabbits. Sean is also a member (Cloverbud) of the Johnston County 4-H Rabbit Club and Jana is the Clubs Co-Leader. We are members of many local rabbit clubs as well as ARBA and our rabbitry is registered, #W0381.
We travel to as many shows as we can and look forward to meeting great rabbit people along the way!
A Brief History
We started out with Mini Lops, added Satins, then added Netherlands, dropped the Mini Lops, added Polish and finally dropped the Satins. WOW! We finally all agree on staying with Polish and Netherlands (John wants Dwarf Hotots, but thats another story!).
And we do have "Cotton", he is the one that started it all! He is a mixed up mutt bunny that was given to our son by one of his Grand Mothers. Our love for this guy along with a trip to the rabbit barn at the NC State Fair sparked our journey into rabbits.
