- Secretary
– Roland Garza brought up the need for a pack secretary.
Decision was made to ask for a volunteer at the 9/20 Pack Meeting to
fill this position.
- Budget
– Than Colvin recommended that we consolidate our financial position as
quickly as possible. The
following actions will take place:
- Sara
M. will check on 1656 funds at Grace.
- Both
treasurers to work together to work on budget. Than C. to arrange a meeting with Brenda Miller (1656)
and Jim Wenzel (880).
- Rally
Night – A total of 32 boys were signed up.
- Tiger
Dens – Total of 3 Dens. Two
Dens of 7 and one of 6.
All Dens have leaders.
- Availability
of Faith Facilities for Pack Night – Roger A. reported that either
Thursday or Friday would work for the church. The Sanctuary is reserved for the 9/20 Pack Night but it
was stressed that which ever night is decided upon we must leave the
facilities in “Good” condition.
- Pack
Night – After much discussion a motion was put forth to hold Pack
Night’s on Friday. Twelve
votes were in favor, one vote was against and 2 votes abstained.
The Motion passed.
- Pack
Number – The district will allow us to change the pack number to 1680.
The last step before re-charter will be for the pastor of Faith to
release 880 and agree to re-charter under 1680.
No issues anticipated but we will update at the next planning
meeting. The new pack will
remain in the Tomahawk District.
- 1680
Patch – Motion to purchase the 1680 patch for the boys.
This motion passed unanimously.
- Parent
Orientation Meeting – 9/14 is YPT and New Leader Essentials.
Janet W. reported that all parents will need to be YPT trained.
It was decided to try to have YPT training for the parents after the
next planning meeting on 10/1.
- Pack
Meeting Job Fair – Darla F. will take care of the sign up posters for
the 9/20 Pack Meeting.
- Pack
Night Assignments – Alan Evans put forth a motion to let the Webelos take
care of the 9/20 pack meeting. This
motion passed unanimously.
- Tiger
Uniforms – After much discussion a motion was put forth to use the
Orange Shirts for the Tigers. Six
votes in Favor. Six votes were
opposed. Motion did not pass.
- Pumpkin
Patch – Roger A. advised that Faith is conducting a Pumpkin Patch for
a fundraiser. Dates are from
10/15 to 10/31. It was decided
to help with this endeavor and ask the church for a donation.
- Lexington
Trip – November 2nd. Cost
is $50.00 per person.
- Brazos
Bend Camp Out – October 19th.
It was decided to have the pack meeting at Faith on 10/18 and then
leave for the campout Saturday 10/19.
- Rain
Gutter Regatta – Need a volunteer to Chair. Sara M. Roland G. and Vince M. to contact individuals
who may be interested.
- Food
Drive – Decided to keep 1656 food drive that benefits “Helping
Hands”. In addition we will
be collecting magazines for the “Richmond State School”.
Sara M will handle the food drive and Roger A. will take care of the
magazines.
- Newsletter
– Decided to produce last one for 9/20 Pack meeting but utilize the Web
Site for communications moving forward.
