  • Financial situation is in good shape
  • $300 over annual budget to-date
March Pack Night (Roland Garza)
  • Den 15 - Opening Ceremony

  • Den 12 - Closing
Awards Presentation (Shannon Davis)
  • Discussed benefits of establishing a procedure to provide the list of scouts for awards presentations every month
  • Motion carried to accept the procedure presented by Shannon and post to the pack web site
  • Discussed pros/cons of handing out all rank awards at the Arrow of Light ceremony. Decision made to hand out all rank awards.
  • Adult training records need to be updated.
 Pinewood Derby (Tom Cox)
  • Laser diode has been replaced. Laser timer is functioning properly again. 
  • Vendor has also provided a second laser diode as a spare at no cost plus a remote starter switch, also at no cost.
Blue & Gold Banquet (Sara McAllister)
  • Banquet well received. Great event, good food.
  • Swinging Door was a little tight for space but worked out well.
  • Swinging Door waived the $150 fee for use of the facility.
  • Kent Nutt's company sponsored the 2nd Year Webelos staffs and badges
  • Kent McAllister has talked with the pastor about securing the church gymnasium for both the Pinewood Derby and the Blue & Gold events in 2005. The Pastor seemed to be favorable to the idea.
Arrow of Light (Alan Evans)
  • Recommend 3 PM start for general awards presentation. AOL scheduled after dinner completed.
  • Cub scouts to wear Blass B T-shirts for the general awards presentation, Class A uniform for the AOL ceremony.
  • Porta-Potties have been ordered.
  • Cost is $5/person regardless of their decision to camp overnight.
  • Den Leaders will collect fees for campout. Cindy Kitchens volunteered to collect money from the den leaders and turn it in to Joel Starr.
May Pack Activity (Roland)
  • Scheduled date is May 22, 4:00 - 7:00 at Pitt's Park
Cub Scout Fair (Sara)
  • Sara distributed tickets for the Cub Scout Fair to the Den Leaders
  • Theme for fair is "On My Honor".
  • Suggestions for our pack activity at the fair:

Marbles (Janet)
Painting River Rocks (Roland)
Windshield Wipers/Bugs (Sara)
Derby Track/Marble Cars (Alan)

Motion carried to go with Painting River Rocks.
Rent tables/chairs from Reliant Center instead of transporting them to the event.
Create a painted backdrop for the booth.

Pack 880 Pinewood Derby Track (Reece)
  • The Pack 880 track and supporting equipment has been picked and donated to the school organization through Jim Barnfield. 
Scouting for Food (Sara/Vince)
  • Original schedule date was same as the AOL. Rescheduled for April 3, 9 AM - 1 PM.
  • Preference to go with the same format as last year.
  • Reece Nagai to coordinate with Pecan Grove Randalls.
  • Food goes  to the Helping Hands in Richmond.
  • Need to keep a count of the food collected as it is collected.
  • Vince to print out paper handouts to give to store customers.
Pack First Aid Kit / Pack Safety Representative (Vince)
  • Pack does not have a first aid kit
  • Cindy Kitchens volunteered to research what should be included in a first aid kit
  • Motion carried to purchase a first aid kit
New Pack Leadership (Vince, Sara)
  • Charilie Holt and Sean Cooper are interested candidates to fill pack leadership positions
  • Need replacements for the following positions:

Committee Chair
Assistant Cubmaster
Webmaster
Training Coordinator

Tom Cox
Assistant Den Leader - Webelos I
