Arrow of Light/Family Campout

- Both the Pack meeting and the AOL ceremony went well.
- Early start on Pack night (3 PM) well received and focused the
spotlight on the AOL ceremony that night
- Early start for the AOL ceremony also well received.
- Motion carried to award Karl Baumgartner
a $50 gift certificate for his generosity and effort in letting us
continue to use his property for the AOL/Campout
- Recommendation to remind parents that they are still responsible
for the safety of their children especially when the kids are near
the lakes or the riverbank.
- Recommendation to rope off area near the riverbank.
- Recommendation to move the AOL/Family Campout date up 3-4 weeks in
the schedule (earlier in March) to allow the graduating Webelos to
join their boy scout troops sooner. Agreed to discuss again in
August.

Pack First Aid Kit / Pack Safety

Cub Scout Fair (Vince) |
- Volunteers for setup duties: Kent Nutt (needs to be confirmed),
Vince Mezzano, Sean Cooper, Tom Cox, Roland Garza
- April 8 is double stamp deadline.
- April 17 is deadline for all tickets.
- Activity for Pack 1680 booth is to paint river rocks.
- Pack has a large booth - needs 10-12 chairs and 3 tables
- Other needs: backdrop, 36 paint brushes, 24 glue bottles, plastic
eyes, river rocks, dixie cups or tuna cans for paint, paper towels,
water for cleaning and a tablecloth.
- Need specific names of cub scouts and families assigned to run the
booth.
- Bubble gum will be handed out at the booth (need two large
containers).
- Backdrop creation: Sunday, April 18 at 3 PM at the scout shack.
Charlie Holt will prepare print a large paper backdrop at work for
painting on the 13th. Bring paint, rollers, brushes.

Scouting for Food (Reece)

- Recommendation to reschedule another date for the event.
- Preference for dates is May 1, then May 15, then May 8.
- Rosenberg's Kroger's store is another option.
- Reece will coordinate rescheduled date.
- Food will go to the Helping Hands in Richmond.

- Scheduled date is May 22, 4:00 - 7:00 at Pitt's Park and has been
booked.
- Various games will be available for the kids.
- Roland to investigate cost/availability of an inflatable slide.

Day Camp (Sara) |
- Final deadline for submitting payment is April 17 but Pack 1680
needs all checks by April 14, 8 PM to Sara.
- Early turn-in date is April 8.
- Second turn-in date is April 10 at the Christ Methodist Church on
Austin Parkway.
- Cost is $45/scout.
- Adult training dates are April 29 (Christ Methodist Church on
Austin Parkway) and May 4 (Parkway United Methodist Church - 5801
New Territory Blvd.)

for a charity drive.

- Agreed to go with an Astros game on July 18 for the July activity.
Pack will pay for the cub scout tickets ($5 each).
- Agreed to clean up the Butterfly Garden at the school on Aug 7 for
the August activity. pack will provide pizza/drinks.
