RESEARCHER REQUEST:

My Grandfather, Thomas Benton Cook, 1842-1912 was born in Nicholasville, Ky and is buried there. He married Cora Bean. 1851-1942. Born in Franklin, IN and died in Louisville, Ky.

2 children: Lucy Alma and Mary Kathryn.

He served in the War Between the States and was a First Lieutenant. Was wounded in Georgia, lost his right thumb and was shot in the head, thereafter, a steel plate was inserted which remained until he died. He went to college and got a law degree. Later, a ministerial degree and served as a Methodist preacher in Kentucky until his death. I am currently working on the genealogy of the Cook family.

Thank you, Margaret May Morgan
