She was born 2/2/1820; died 6/10/1909. Her parents were George Selser and Esther Adelia Howard of Warren County, Mississippi

George Selser was the son of George Selser and Rachel Newman. He was born 1/16/1795 at Adams County Plantation in Mississippi. He died 11/29/1875 at Omega, Louisiana. His wife, Esther Adelia Howard, was born 9/31/1798 in North Carolina. She died 10/19/1850 on the plantation belonging to the first George Selser, about 8 miles from Vicksburg, Mississippi. George and Esther were married 2/12/1818

The first George Selser was born in Chesher County, Pennsylvania in 1756 and died 2/24/1826 at Adams County Plantation in Mississippi.

Cousin Alice Gifoil, Sister Scholastica, has documented the Selser ancestry back to 1756, contributed by Margaret and Pat Gilfoil; and, I will get it up on a page eventually.

Our Hester Ann Selser first married George Richards 3/23/1837. We have no information on George Richards, yet; except that he owned a plantation in north Louisiana, where our W. C. Currie was overseer.(That's one account. The other is that W.C. was overseer for his brother-in-law, Jane Currie Beard's husband.)

Hester and George Richards had the following children:

H. C. Richards born 2/9/1838; did not live to adulthood.

Angus Richards born 3/18/1839; did not live to adulthood.

Olivia was "dead" born 8/6/1841.

John Milton Richards was born 9/20/1841; did not live to adulthood.

Sue Richards was born 11/30/1846. "Sis" Sue married Gardner D. Perry.

George Selser Richards was born 8/18/1844; died 9/12/1873. He was married; but as of yet we know nothing of his wife nor if he had children.

Mary Esther Richards was born 2/28/1849. She lived to adulthood; married Gary G. Lynch (?), brother-in-law to her half brother, Howard C. Currie. She inherited one third of the Richards' property as did George and Sue. Mary Esther is buried in the Lynch plot in the Lone Tree Cemetery, Stuttgart, Arkansas.
