His first wife was
Sybelia Antoinette Currie Riley
Of their two boys, Jamie and George, only George survived to adulthood.
His second wife was Sybelia's sister, Leila Ada Currie Riley.
Our 93 year old cousin, William Gilfoil, who knew John, says that
he and his brother, Michael, were captured and starved in a "damn Yankee"
prison camp. Michael died there.
