The Clarendon Way

From Salisbury in Wiltshire to Winchester in Hampshire.

In May 1999, whilst waiting for a US H1B Visa, I followed this 2 day walk.

The classic shot of Salisbury Cathedral, seen from the water meadows. Painted by John Constable, the water meadows are a tranquil escape.

The Clarendon Way leaves Salisbury heading east into farm land. Looking back, the Cathedral spire recedes as you climb the fields.

Rolling countryside as the path follows a Roman road for part of the distance between Winterslow and Broughton.

On the second day, the path crosses the Test River and soon crosses the Test Way.

Winchester Cathedral marks the end of the walk
