My original classic GeoCities Homepage was shut down after Yahoo purchased the originial GeoCities. Eventually Yahoo added a weird banner on the right-side of all the users' free HomePages so naturally visitors and Yahoo's ad revenue went downhill due to Yahoo's poor business decisions.
The people at the - new - http://geocities.ws (.ws = WebSite) archived many of the former Geocities.com websites and I was able to claim mine.
