Cambridgeshire Genealogy
by Audrey Fletcher
Over the past few years I have been tracing my mother's family history. Her father was a Cambridgeshire man as was her maternal grandfather. To further my research I bought a pile of Cambridgeshire Parish Records on microfiche, and have since used these to help other people in tracing their family history as well.

Since the onset of computers and the information so readily available, there has been a huge upsurge in the number of people attempting to trace
their family history.

This page is intended to help at least some of those people whose ancestors, like mine, hail from Cambridgeshire.

I will begin with the ancestry of my mother's father,
William Richard Hullyer, who was born at Swaffham Bulbeck on 23rd August 1878.

This will be followed by the ancestry of my mother's maternal grandfather,
William George Stearn, who was born at Stapleford and christened there
on 4th February 1855.
