{rolloThe T-62 is the second russian design after WWII, preceded by the T-54/55, and being a natural development of this. The first protoypes were built in 1962. Former Czechoslovakia manufatured it under license. Since 1967 has been upgraded and modified in order to maintain it in the first lines. At first, this model didn't fit a fire control system, nor even an Anti-Aircraft weapon, but this was soon fixed in the T-62 M with a 12'7 mm for the loader, because this model doesn't fit the automatic loader of more moderm russian armored units and has a fourth crewmen. Later it was fitted with a fire control system and modified for firing the AT-10 laser beam riding missile with 5000 mts range (Sheksna), better than the AT-8 fitted in latter russian tanks (that says my sources although sounds weird to me). As a russian tank, it's prepared for 15 feet deep fording. Also includes day-night sights, NBC measures, and can lay smoke screens injecting fuel in the exahusted outlet. There is a "funny" version, the T-62 Flamethrower.
