| Theodosia Pasco was born in 1857. There are conflicting dates about her birth. Pleasants County birth records indicates she was born on October 28, 1857 at Middle Island in Pleasants County, WV. Another family record indicates she was born on November 22, 1857. Her mother was Melissa Pasco who died shortly after her birth. Pleasants County death records indicate her mother died on November 5, 1857. She was raised by Melissa's brother Joseph and his wife Mary (Howell) Pasco who moved from Pennsylvania to Tyler County, WV and then to Monroe County, Ohio. Theodosia married William Howell on June 6, 1879 in Monroe County. In the 1870 census,Theodosia Pasco was 12 years old and worked with her aunt (Mary Howell Pasco) as a housekeeper. Her uncle was not listed in the 1870 census in Monroe, County, but was listed in the 1850 Census in Tyler County, WV. Before getting married Theodosia Pasco worked as a school teacher. She died, according to family records, on May 18, 1883, leaving behind her husband and three year old son Winfield F. Howell. Theodosia's mother Melissa was born in Monongalia County the daughter of John and Mary Pasco. Records indicate she died on November 5, 1857 at Middle Island, Pleasants County, WV.
