| Who is Sailor Pluto? Well, she is a very sophisticated woman (she appears to be young but she is really over 1000 years old). She has a natural grace about her that gives her an aura of mystery. She has a very reserved personality and a very kind heart. She mostly keeps to herself because she is so used to being alone. She will go out of her way to help Rini (Sailor Chibi Moon) who is her best friend. Sailor Pluto is the oldest Senshi and she is also the guardian of the Gates of Time.
Sailor Pluto carries one of the three talismans, the Garnet Orb. The Garnet Orb is located at the top of her Time Staff also known as the Time Key. When Sailor Uranus, Sailor Neptune, and Sailor Pluto put the three talismans together, it forms the Rainbow Moon Chalice/Purity Chalice/Holy Grail which Sailor Moon uses to transform into Super Sailor Moon. Sailor Pluto's real name is Setsuna Meioh. I found an interesting piece of information about her name while I was surfing the web. Her first name "Setsuna" means "moment" in Japanese and her last name "Meioh" means "Pluto". So her name is literally "Moment Pluto". Her birthday is November 29th making her zodiac sign Scorpio. Her blood type is A. She enjoys sewing and her dream is to be a fashion designer. There has been a rumor on several web sites I have visited saying that Sailor Pluto had an affair with Neo King Endymion. This is NOT true! Still other sites say that Rini (Sailor Chibi Moon) is Sailor Pluto's daughter because they both have red eyes. *rolls eyes* This is also false. Sailor Pluto is Rini's friend, NOT her mother. Yes, Sailor Pluto had a crush on Neo King Endymion but she never had an affair with him. Sailor Pluto is very isolated as the Guardian of Time and Neo King Endymion is pretty much the only guy that she ever sees so it's only natural for her to like him. Do you really believe that serious, mysterious Sailor Pluto had an affair? If you do, you don't know her very well. Sailor Pluto is dedicated to protecting the moon princess just as much as the Inner Sailors are and she knew, from the very beginning, that Serenity and Endymion were meant for each other. Being the Guardian of Time, she knows better than anyone that it's not a good idea to mess with fate and she takes her job very seriously. Also, if Rini really was Sailor Pluto's daughter, her outfit would be different. Her boots wouldn't have little moons on them, her aura would not be pink, and she wouldn't have a moon symbol on her forehead either. Don't believe everything you see and hear. Sailor Pluto's attacks are Dead Scream, Time Stop, and Dark Dome Close in the anime. For Dead Scream, mist swirls all around Sailor Pluto, she twirls in the air, and forms a glowing ball of energy that looks like her planet. She then throws it at the enemy, killing or severely injuring them. Sailor Pluto was forbidden to use Dark Dome Close. It closes the passages of time so that nothing can get through. Time Stop is also a forbidden attack. Sailor Pluto raises her Time Staff and uses her power to stop time for a few moments. This is supposed to kill her but when she used it, she was instead sent back to the Time Gates. In the manga, Sailor Pluto has another attack and a defense as well. Garnet Ball is a defense that she used to save herself when a building fell. This defense forms a barrier of energy around her or whomever it is that she wishes to protect. Cronus Typhoon is another attack of hers. For this attack, Sailor Pluto sends a whirlwind of energy shooting from her Time Staff. -*Sailor June Princess* |
