MORE BEAR IN THE BIG BLUE CLOSET CLUES

(chiefly from ONE episode, no less)

Clearly, the producers of my favorite children’s program are continuing their attempts to sneak queer references into it (I have it on reliable authority that a number of furry fags work on Bear In the Big Blue House (it IS, after all, a Disney show), so I’m not all that surprised…still, I’m thrilled to be able to add to my potentially slanderous list… J ).

Miscellaneous indications:

  1. All I can say is – count the number of times Bear does the limp-wrist gesture. You’d be amazed…
  2.

  3. In one episode, Bear is having his favorite fruity beverage in a cup that has a rainbow drink parasol in it.
  4.

    The Stuffed-with-Sodomy Hallowe’en Episode

  5. The suitable costumes Bear proposes for his impressionable young listeners include ‘Tinkerbell’ and ‘Fairy Queen’. Uh…HUH…
  6.

  7. Among the big furry fella’s past costumes has been a cowboy hat (he makes a particular point of revealing that he used to wear it when he was a Cub – but of course…). Doubtless a Lonesome Cowboy, to be sure…
  8.

  9. While searching for a costume he can wear on Hallowe’en, Bear briefly glances at a very gay-looking feather boa, then rejects it. Fortunately, his helpful Cub and Otters (I’ve already dealt with THOSE supporting-character choices before…) get the hint, and convince him to go as Goldilocks Bear. He doesn’t exactly resist the suggestion, either – rather, he gets into campy character immediately. In fact, towards the end of the episode, he says: "See you next year, Goldie." I’m sure we will…
