Amusement

Star Traks Nexus - hub of all things Star Traks
Section 31- good source for episode, book and game guides of not only trek, but generally sci-fi, I'm a member of the Helix BBS, one of (if not the) best message board communities on the net.
Fetchfido - who knows how many hours I've wasted playing on games on this site. I personally recommend Tanks.
QuickGames - again, hours and hours wasted playing on Quick snooker.
Starship Exeter Fan Film - One of the first and best fan films made, a second episode is currently being released.
New Voyages Fan Film - Perhaps the most famous fan film, its almost now mainstream with Walter Koenig set to star in the third episode, written by Keith R.A. DeCandido. And they were doing pretty well before that.
Star Trek: Hidden Frontier - another Trek fan series, while episode quality may not be the best you can't fault them quantity-wise with nearly 7 completed seasons. They've also started to find their feet in the last season or two.
Red vs Blue - you mention Machinima, you have to talk about Red vs Blue and the Rooster Teeth production team. If I start saying good things about this series I'd be here for quite some time, so all I can do is tell you to check it out for yourselves.

News

BBC News - pretty much holding all the news you'll ever need. Plus do I need to tell you to check out the radio stations? You can't beat BBC comedy.

Technology

Adobe Acrobat Reader
Virgin Radio - playing the best rock and indie music, living in a foreign country I live off Rock and Roll Football on Saturday afternoons for my Premiership results seeing as BBC Radio Five live cuts off everytime they do commentary on a game (don't have the Spanish broadcasting rights).
