Apart from routeen job, I did many things here. Especially I track down a big security hole in the network and suggested the solution too.

Aim:

To understand the philosophy of various windows APIs by developing one of it myself.

Description:

"Windows API for DOS" is a powerful and good looking windows GUI library for DOS. It is good enough to be compared with Windows 98 [only as much as I have completed yet].

DOS, Turbo C++ & inline Assembly.

Duration:

It will always be far from over because it is my hobby project.

Aim:

To understand the internals of various programming languages by developing one of it myself.

Description:

This is an interpreter of a simple 'C' like procedural programming language. Some of the features of this language are loops, functions / Procedure, Recursion etc.

Linux / DOS, Bison and C.

Duration:

2 Months (Including all study about compilers).

Aim:

To understand some fundamentals of graphics and to become familiar with Visual Basic.

Description:

Splash is versatile software for image composing and drawing. You can draw or paint as well as you can give some spatial effects too.

Windows, Visual Basic, Win32 API.

1 Month (Including all study of Visual Basic).

Aim:

To introduce myself to the rest of the world.

Description:

This website has latest version of this Résumé including my articles and my programs for downloading and many more things. Most of the pages are compliant with W3 standards like XHTML, CSS2 and WCAG.

XHTML 1.0 (Some XHTML 1.1 and HTML 4.0), CSS2, VRML, JavaScript, VBScript.

A text editor for HTML etc. and GIMP for Images.

Aim:

To achive an intuitive editor for Unicode Hindi.

Description:

"Hindi Editor" is actually meant for those people who are not familiar with the standard Inscript keyboard layout. "Hindi Editor" is designed to reduce the necessity of remembering the keyboard layout.

XHTML 1.0, JavaScript, VB for ActiveX.

1 Month (new versions are always under construction).

Aim:

To computerize a bank.

Description:

This software though developed for a cooperative bank, is a complete banking solution for any small bank.

Windows 2000, Oracle 8i, Developer 2000.

I was involved in the project as a Technical Consultant. My contribution was the incorporation of photographs, advanced search facilities some interface enhancements and other miscellaneous help.

Aim:

To relieve my eyes.

Description:

Voice is a speech synthesizer which can read books / letters for you. It has many settings for speech (speaker, speed, etc.) and text (Font, Colour, etc.).

Development Platform:

Windows, Visual Basic, Microsoft TTS Engine.

Duration:

1 Week (Including all study of TTS without having any documentation of it).

Aim:

To elegantly switch between Window Managers. [Not like switchdesk]

Description:

A GUI program that is useful for people whose default runlevel takes them to text mode. It initiates X-Windows but before loading any window manager its interface lets you choose your desired window manager.

2-3 Days (Including initial study of GTK).
