Success Stories

The Mass Media Arts Symposium also serves as a way for mass media students to see students who have graduated. The students get to see what the graduates are doing after college. This year’s symposium featured a student who currently works for the Associated Press for Broadcast was Tiffanie Turner.

Turner’s focus was broadcast journalism. During her time at Hampton She was a member ofKappa Tau Alpha. She volunteered at WHOV, Hampton University Public Relations office, and as cameraperson for the marching band.

Turner became interested in radio sales during a summer internship in a Washington D.C. radio station. Upon her graduation she was given an opportunity to work as a sales assistant at the Associated Press. She later became a Direct Radio Representative where she worked with non-commercial radio stations across the country.

Turner will complete her Master’s in Business Management in the fall and will pursue an MBA with an emphasis in Marketing.
