When I intended to restore and modify my Alfetta this is what I had in mind for the

entire vehicle.

BODY:
- strip entire vehicle and straighten all panels.
- re-chrome the Alfa heart and bumpers.
- remove the badges bar the Alfa serpent and cross.
- remove bottom chrome strip and replace with a small side skirt as well as adding a small front spoiler, similar to the red Alfetta on the
front page
- restore/renew the old plastic grille, bonnet and rear panel gills.
- re-spray in navy blue.

ENGINE/GEARBOX:
- sell the stock 2 litre and replace it with a late model "Twin Spark".
- install an after market turbo (adjustable boost) and intercooler.
- tune to 280 - 300 Hp (210Kw).
- sell the stock gearbox and replace with V6 isostatic LSD box from a 75 Milano.
- twin plate clutch.

INTERIOR:
- replace orignal front seats with those from a GTV 6.
- re-cloth entire interior in light grey, including the dash.
- replace door and dash inserts with wood as well as a wooden gear knob and steering wheel.

MISC:
- 17 or 18 inch chrome rims and tyres.
- airconditioning and power steering.
- 3 inch exhaust.

Of course this turned out to be hidiously expensive to do correctly so I could use the car as a daily driver. As a result I decided to abandon the project before it started and purchased an already completed restoration of a 105 series GTV 2000 Coupe. Go to "
Project Update" for more info and to see my new car.
