Paul's Guide to Puerto Iguazu Life and Love

Hostel Park

I have been staying at the Hostel Park for a couple of weeks now. So far I think it is the best value for the money in Puerto Iguazu.I am in a dorm room with just four beds, a bathroom, shower, air conditioning and one of the most secure lockers I have seen in any hostel anywhere. I have met all the staff and they are all friendly, relaxed and helpful. There is also a nice pool which they keep pretty clean. I have been paying 100 pesos per night, but I think the price will rise a bit for the high season starting soon. The manager's name is Karen. You may see her from time to time. She speaks English well, as do Carlos, Lizzi and Richard. Sergio also understands English pretty well. Here is more info about the staff..

Richad who worked the night shift today. Natalia who cleans the hostel rooms, changes sheets etc.

Today I asked Natalia how she was. She said "bien". I said , "Cuanto bien entre 0 y 10?" - How fine from 0 too 10? She said "cinco". I asked why five. She said beause she was "cansadisma" - very tired. Later I asked if I could take her pictutre and she said no, no. no me gusta fotos. But I convinced her to let me take one from the side.

Lizzi who wants to study psychology in Buenos Aires, with Sergio who studies tourism in Puerto Iguazu.

One thing I like about this hostel is they let me put my bike in the room. :)

I took a pic of the locker in my room because these lockers seem to be some of the most secure I have seen anywhere in the world. The locks are actually double bolt locks.
