Illustrated on the walls of the stone chamber are numerous kung fu stances and techniques, including the Anti-Paralyzing skill, the Cease-Breath, and Internal Healing Method. Yang Guo immediately followed the steps to Internal Healing to alleviate Long's injuries. After a while, Long begins to  feel better. Yang Guo lets her rest while he watches over her.

     Just then,
Li Mo Chou and Hong Ling Bo find their way into the stone room. Alarmed, Yang Guo stands up ready to fight them but Li is too quick for him and gives him Paralyzing Punch with her red sash duster. She also does the same thing to Long. With both of them paralyzed, Yang Guo and Long are completely at the mercy of the Serpent Deity.

     While
Li questions Long yet again about the tomb's exits, Yang Guo, who is lying face down, notices that on the floor is the inscription for the Anti-Paralyzing skill.  Yang Guo carefully studies the steps to unseal his cease-nodes while Li is still distracted.

Seeing that threats do not seem to move
Long, Li Mo Chou tries a different tactic. She asks Long if she still remembers the Dot of Virginity placed on their arm by their master. She herself still has that bright red mark on her arm. She is sure Long no longer has it since she has spent all those years living in the tomb with a man that she loves. But when she draws back Long's sleeve, she finds the red dot is still there.

     Clearly amazed,
Li praises Long's good fortune in finding a respectful man like Yang Guo but secretly envies her too as she remembers her own doomed affair with a man when she was only 15. Because of him, she left the tomb but the man had deceived her and married another instead. Since then, she believes that the world is filled with hateful people who only have ugly intentions towards each other.
