Yang Guo and Xiao Long Nuu (Dragon Girl) follow the stream that leads them out of the stalagmite cave under the Ancient Tomb. They come upon a hidden meadow and decide to stay there for a while. Long says that she needs to recover her full strength before they would set out for the outside world but in truth, she is afraid of what the world has in store for her and is unwilling to leave Zhong Nan Mountain just yet. They build two huts as shelter and spend their time practicing and refining their skills in kung fu. On a few occasions, they go back to the Ancient Tomb to study the Scripture of Jiu Yin written on the stone room walls. Li Mo Chou (Serpent Deity) and Hong Ling Bo are no longer there and they assume that they must have found the way out. One night, Ou Yang Feng, who has been searching for Yang Guo in all those years, comes upon the meadow and engages in a fight with Xiao Long Nuu. Yang Guo tries to stop them, calling out to his godfather in an effort to jar his memory. Finally, Ou Yang Feng recognizes his godson and asks him who the girl is, prompting him to say that she is his master. But the old man belittles Long, saying that her kung fu is inferior compared to his. He then tells Yang Guo that he would now continue teaching him his lesson in Ha Ma Gong (Toad Stance), which, according to him, is one of the two most powerful techniques in martial arts. As he starts to teach Yang Guo, he notices that Long is still standing within earshot and orders her harshly to go away. When Long starts to retort something, he suddenly seals her central cease-nodes and paralyzes her completely. Yang Guo does not see any of these and is therefore unaware that his Gugu is lying alone and defenseless in the meadow. Page 1 Page 2 |
