Group 4: The Butterfly (Adult) Stage |

Your group is the Butterfly. This is the fourth stage of the life cycle. You will need to research your stage and find out why you are so important. Go to the following website to find the definition of the butterfly stage. Write it down on the butterfly paper for discussion with your group. |

At the link research your stage. Find out and describe what it looks like and tell what happens at this stage. Write it on the butterfly paper and draw a picture of it. When your group is finished researching the Butterfly Life Cycle then you are able to make the "Butterfly " art project. |

Materials: Paper coffee filter, water color paint, paint brush, water in a cup, 1/2 black pipe cleaner, and 1 sheet of white paper. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
1. Flatten the coffee filter and place it on white paper. 2. Paint the coffee filter. Allow the colors to blend. 3. Allow to dry for 20-25 minutes. 4. Fold the pipe cleaner in half. 5. Fold the coffee filter accordion style. 6. Position the coffee filter into the bent end of the pipe cleaner. Center the filter at the bend. 7. Twist the pipe cleaner around the coffee filter. 8. Bend the tips of the pipe cleaner to create the antennae. 9. Fan out the butterfly wings. 10. Use yarn and attach to the butterfly to hang in the classroom. |
