In my NEW world, I still found darkness during my first few hours. I caught a force embracing me. I tasted it. It was good. A new world with a new food? I wondered. I gulped a lung of it. I cried out of joy.
For a few months, I still could not see but I could hear a man and a woman talking to me, about me and about us. After a while, I decided that if I continued sleeping, I would not be able to find out the things the voice said I ought to see. I opened my sight and searched. At first, around the place which consisted of cloth and wooden bars. Then, I saw two beautiful faces full of love and care staring at me. The one with long hair cuddled me while the other offered a kiss. I remembered the same warmth I had months ago. I discovered that I could roll, sit then stand on my own.
When I blew a solitary candle, I was sort of talking my first words: Mama, Papa. I was trying my first step, too. When I stumbled, I was helped up to continue with my strides.
