The ever pulsating present serves as a buffer between the past and the future. What we do now will eventually be in the past tense and they are theoretically irretrievable. Our momentary if1ly's and if-I-were's remain as such. The eloquence of the present, however, affords us with the option to atone our sins, to right the wrongs, to begin anew with the hope that the future still rings true and it could carry us to brighter paths.
We never know what the tacit future maybe. Must we foretell what lies ahead of the distant, kaleidoscopic horizon? Yet we know the past. Must we delve into the memorable past?
We must take heed of the counsel of the past years to succumb the trials of the present and to boldly face the near future.
