The Virginia Muscle Car

Bill's 57 Chevy of Today

Some next steps on the 57. Now that we have the front end about done (suspension) and the firewall painted, we will move on to complete the power steering hook up, install the steering column, put in the brake booster and brake cylender, install the brake lines front and rear, install a new gas line from the tank and get ready to install the motor and trans. The engine block is out of a 69 Camaro (350 ci four bolt main block bored 30 over), 1182 steel crank, forged pistons, reworked steel rods, double hump heads with some minor polishing, street cam with a good bit of lift, holley manifold with holley carb. Also installing Air Conditioning/Heat unit from Vintage Air. Ordered the headers and pipe for the dual exhaust. Should be installing the engine and trans sometime before Thanksgiving (maybe) then put the Front End back on the car. Hope to have it about done by Christmas but we shall see. The Christmas date is just a goal, all we can do is try Its all about the weather. I will be happy to have it running in time to use it in the Spring. Keep the Faith, ~Bill
