(71 SS Chevelle with 396/400)
Andy and I work at the same place. During the summer on Fridays at lunch time,
Andy and I drove our cars to a hamburger drive-in called Sonic. Andy drove
his 65 Vette (see Andy's 65 Vette Section) and I drove my red Chevelle
pictured here. Andy said these lunch road trips brought back lots of good memories.

The Chevelle is a 1971 Super Sport with the original 396 engine (called a 400 in 1971),
the Turbo Hydra-matic transmission and rear end have never been out of the car.

It has the original
8-track tape player that even works (I even have the Chevrolet brand 8-track tape
that came with the Chevelle). So, as you can see it is very much original (I
even have all of the paper work that came with the car to include the
metal warranty plate). ~Richard
