A warrant was granted, 15th of 10 mo., 1702, by which a tract of 500 acres was surveyed for their use so long as they or their descendants should continue to occupy it. Thomas Yarnold, North Piddle, Worcestershire
In 1668 Thomas Powis conveyed the parish of North Piddle, Worcestershire, to Robert Knightley, who was already possessed of some land at North Piddle. In 16834 Robert and Valentine Knightley sold land in North Piddle to Thomas Yarnold. His descendant, another Thomas Yarnold, was holding the manor in 1750. Within thirty years the parish had passed out of the holdings of the Yarnold family, as a Mr. Sheldon of Weston was the owner in 1782, and it must have been bought shortly after by Humphrey Lyttelton of Naunton Beauchamp. North Piddle, Worcestershire, is a very small parish bounded by Piddle Brook on the west and south-west. The surface of the land is flat, an area of 797 acres, which was inclosed under an Act of Parliament of 1813.
