" An American Original "

Harley is a Lab/Dachshund cross Rosie's human rescued and gave to Alan, her own brother. Since his Human is a truck driver, Harley gets to travel all over the country, meeting all kinds of dogs and their traveling human companions.

Harley's activities include, but are not limited to, jogging, chasing ducks, and of course, travelling. He loves to eat junk food, especially potato chips, and his favourite song is the theme from "Rocky" (...getting stronger). Harley is a very sociable dog with a good disposition and has made thousands of friends, canine and human, on his travels.

Because Harley is on the road, Alan keeps him up to date with vacinations, heartworm prevention, and regular veterinary visits. He also wears an ID tag with phone numbers and adresses, in case he gets lost. A battery operated flashing tag also comes in handy for midnight excursions, as is often the case with the hours his human must work.

Final Note

Rosie and her human, Cristie do not wish to be associated with kennels and breeders. They choose not to include links of that type anywhere in this site as it is not in the best interest of the thousands of unwanted pets abandoned every day.

Dropped of at "Animal Shelters", most of them are put to death. Those are the lucky ones. Even more dogs and cats are left in the parks and roadsides. Soon to be faced with starvation, disease, and the elements, we all know they will eventually starve to death or die of exposure.

I am very fortunate. Because a kind person rescued me from abandonment, I now enjoy the life every dog in America deserves. Please find it in your heart to give a homeless dachshund, dachshund crossbreed or any kind of dog (or cat) a second chance at life. You wont regret it!
