Ice Tea Syrup
Boil water, add and steep tea bags 10-15 minutes. Remove tea bags, bring tea to a boil and add sugar. Continue to boil until the liquid becomes foamy. Remove pan from heat, cool and refrigerate or pack and freeze. Keeps for several weeks in refrigerate.
*Note: I've grown used to drinking my tea, hot or cold, with very little or no sugar. So, when I make this syrup, I only use 2 cups sugar. Also, 28 tea bags makes a pretty dark tea, I use 14. |
