So what's this got to do with God? Look around you, on the news, on the net, where ever... All things spiritual are "in" unless of course its Christianity and then you had better keep quiet and keep it to yourself. It should make every red blooded American stop for a moment and ask themselves "What is the big deal? If there is nothing to Christianity then it should be no skin off my nose whether someone else believes in it or not." But that is not the case...
Take a moment to reflect on your own feelings. What sort of feelings does the thought of someone talking to you about Jesus and your own salvation start in you? Don't you wonder what it is in you that calls up such strong feelings?
There is a spiritual war going on out in the world today and the prize is the very heart and soul of every man, woman, and child. The very basis for the freedom we have always enjoyed in this nation has become the number one whipping boy for everyone's woes. Religious tolerance is everywhere except where mainline Christianity is concerned. The Judeo-Christian beliefs on which this nation was founded are now viewed as the extreme right and because there are whackos out there who claim to be Christians but espouse violence and hatred the media loves to go ahead and build that connection even further and bill it as the way fundamental Christianity is.
Ignorance is the reason that we fall for this. For if even the non-believers would take the time to at least read the Bible once in their lives they would realize that something is amiss.
"my people are destroyed from lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also reject you as my priests; because you have ignored the law of your God, I also will ignore your children." Hosea 4:6 NIV
Jesus said "Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are
ferocious wolves. By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? Likewise every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit.
A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear
good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them."
Matthew 7:15-20 NIV
To put it another way, If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, then it is probably a duck.... If it calls itself a duck but has fur, four legs, and growls, then you have good reason to doubt its claim that it is a duck.
So, what is the fruit that is born of the true child of God?
13You, my brothers, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the sinful nature; rather, serve one another in love.
14The entire law is summed up in a single command: "Love your neighbor as yourself."
15If you keep on biting and devouring each other, watch out or you will be destroyed by each other.
16So I say, live by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the sinful nature.
17For the sinful nature desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the sinful nature. They are in conflict with each other, so that you do not do what you want.
18But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under law.
19The acts of the sinful nature are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery;
20idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions
21and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God. 22But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.
Galatians 5:13-23 NIV
1If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. 2If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. 3If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing. 4Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. 8Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. 9For we know in part and we prophesy in part, 10but when perfection comes, the imperfect disappears. 11When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me.
12Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known. 13And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

Please don't keep yourself in ignorance. As a first step, here is the first place you should turn to whenever you have a question on what the Bible really has to say and that is the Bible!
We also have another great document that you should not stay in ignorance of and that is our Constitution. Especially Amendment I: Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.
No where do the words "separation of church and state" appear. It is part of the deception and the great lie! Of course this page is not meant to get deep into discussions of our nation. For more on this great land of ours and our heritage see my Country page.
