Morgan White wrote a blurb on her webpage regarding Kim's wedding. Check it out!

October 28, 1999

Whew, long time no update! Kim hasn't been up to a lot of gym lately-but she just got married this past weekend! Congratulations!! Kim has spent a lot of time recovering these days with a torn calf muscle and then a torn achilles, which required crutches. She has been unable to compete all summer including the Nationals and Worlds. Here's an article from the Sacramento Bee around the time of Nationals that gives you an update and once again proves how awesome a person Kim is!

And for all us Kim fans, the October issue of IG has a exciting blurb with Kim in which she states that she still plans on aiming for the 2000 Olympics. I wish her a happy (and injury free!) journey!

July 9, 1999

Unfortunately Kim tore her calf muscle prior to Olympic Gold exhibition in Bakersfield, CA and did not attend. It healed in time for the recent region 5 zone meet, in which Kim only did her bars routine, but...she fell on her tkatchev and apparently reinjured her calf. Her status is unknown but it seems she may be able to petition past Classics to Nationals if need be. =(

June 13, 1999

Kim was a member of Shannon Miller's wedding party yesterday Saturday, June 12, 1999, as Shannon married Chris Phillips in Oklahoma. Kim, the Mag 7, Jennie Thompson, Terri Thomas, Peggy Liddick, Soni Meduna, and Heather Brink were all bridesmaids while Shannon's sister, Tessa, was the maid of honor. 800 guests were in attendance at the huge affair! Check out the Oklahoman and the Edmond Sun for stories, and the Edmond Sun picture gallery of the wedding (which includes Kim).

May 25, 1999

I found a couple of new articles that mention Kim. The first is a lost press release from USA Gymnastics about the China Cup. The second is a Sports Illustrated for Women article on body types in women's gymnastics.

I also found a couple of new things for the Library page! Check out the new addition under Kerri Strug and Betty Okino, in Kim's Friends section!

The Official Gymnast Links have all been updated as well--they all work and some have been added!

I also wanted to mention that the CGA team is headed to Woodward Gymnastics Camp on June 12th for a week, after their club banquet on the 9th.

May 18, 1999

Kim is featured in the May issue of IG answering Kid's Klub 10.0 Questions. Check them out!

Also, if you happen to live in California (like me!), Kim and other gymnastic greats like Dominique Moceanu, Amanda Borden, Chris Waller, Tatiana Gutsu, and more will be at Cal State Bakersfield, June 26th, performing in a US Olympic Gold exhibition!

May 4, 1999

Morgan White posted a bunch of pictures from the trip to China-check them out!!

I'm also in the process of cleaning up the photo gallery and adding a few new pictures!

April 19, 1999

Morgan White, one of Kim's CGA and China Cup teammates, wrote a wonderful journal about their trip to China. Check it out!

April 13, 1999

Kim and her teammates concluded a very successful trip to China, defeating them in the team competition. Kim competed on vault, bars, and beam, and scored very well!! Check out all the scores here, and Kim's scores below:

Vault9.300
Bars9.475
Beam9.550

Also, Kim attended a training camp prior to attending the China Cup in Lansing, Michigan with other members of the national team (March 29-April 2).

March 30, 1999

Kim has replaced Sierra Sapunar, who replaced Dominique Moceanu, in the upcoming team event, the China Cup, April 5-13. This will be Kim's first international competition since the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona. Her teammates for this event will be Jamie Dantzscher, Angela Beam, Audra Fraim, Tasha Schwikert and Morgan White.

Kim is featured *twice* in the March 1999 issue of International Gymnast. Check out her Star Stats and the mention about her recent engagement!

Also, according to CGA, Kim has recently joined the coaching staff again, helping out with the TOPS program!

February 27, 1999

Kim did not compete in the American Classic in California two weekends ago, but her teammates did very well, and Jennie Thompson and Alyssa Beckerman made the Pan Am Games team. Congrats to them! If you want to know what's up with Kim and what her future plans are, check out this new interview conducted by IG at the recent Reese's Cup in January.

February 6, 1999

It's Kim's 23rd birthday today!!! (And her gymnastics keeps getting better and better!) I believe it's still undecided on whether or not Kim is going to compete in the American Classic because of calf injuries, but I hope she does.

I also added a quick tidbit on the Reese's Cup on the competitions page.

January 30, 1999

I decided to change the look today, I hope you like it! I'm still in the process of updating other areas too.

January 18, 1999

Kim and Kristie Phillips finished third (Hershey Kisses-39.2) behind Amanda Borden and Amy Chow (All-America A's-39.4)and Jaycie Phelps and Vanessa Atler (Reese's Butter Cups-39.4) in the women's artistic portion of the Reese's Cup. This event will be shown on television on Sunday, January 24 3-5pm ET on NBC.

January 12, 1999

I updated the front page with information about upcoming competitions and television appearances of Kim. They include the Reese's Cup which will take place this weekend in Tempe, Arizona, with Kim paired with another former Karolyi athlete--Kristie Phillips. Also in January is Regionals in Cincinnati and in February is the American Classic where the athletes will fight for spots on the Pan Am team. Here's some info on that event:

I will be at this event, so I will hopefully have a good report on it!!

Sorry for the lack of updates lately, I will be back for awhile!

October 21, 1998

I added four new pictures to the Indy '98 picture page, courtesy of Doug Daniels!

I also added a new link to Ashlee Bradley's Official Homepage, one of Kim's teammates--CGA's only junior international elite.

Kim will be honored as a member of Region 5's All-Star team at a banquet in Chicago on October 31st. Teammates Jennie Thompson and Morgan White were also named to this team.

Kim's friend from the John Hancock Tour and Mag 7 member, Shannon Miller, is engaged! It was reported on the CGA homepage that Kim will take part in the wedding.

I added on the competition page a small report on the Rock 'n' Roll Champs, in case you missed it! =)

Just to let you know that on the front page, the links lined up on the left work! Just click to the left of them!

October 11, 1998

I decided to change the look a little--and I guess I'm fortunate that Kim's favorite color is blue, because it happens to be mine too. Sorry for the blue overkill! =) I will add more pictures and info tonight. I hope you caught the rerun of the R'n'R champs this afternoon!

October 9, 1998

Wow! I am embarrased to say that when I changed the look on the front page none of the links worked, but they do now! Yikes!

I also want to clarify some info that I stated earlier...Steve Elliott is *no longer* coaching at CGA. For a statement on this fact from Mary Lee Tracy, check out the CGA homepage.

Also, Kim will not be competing for the rest of this year to rest injuries. Hopefully we will see her at the beginning of next year in Phoenix, AZ at the Reese's Cup, and if not, at the American Classic in February. The American Classic will be hosted by SCATS Gymnastics and be held, I believe at Cal Poly Pomona, February 12-14 (California State Polytechnic Univerity at Pomona--LA area--not the one at San Luis Obispo). This competition is also doubling as the Pan American Games Trials. Yeah, I get to go!=)

Also, ESPN2 will run a repeat of the 1998 Rock 'n' Roll Gymnastics Championships from 1-3pm. ET on October 11th.

October 5, 1998

I added 5 new pictures from Nationals thanks to Doug Daniels!

Also don't forget about the Rock 'n' Roll Championships on TV tonight. On the west coast remember it starts at 5pm on ESPN!

October 2, 1998

A little news...Kim had minor surgery on her knee and ankle on Sept. 24th, but is already up and moving around. She has also been invited to the Ecoair Gymnastics Cup in the Netherlands along with her teammate at CGA, Alyssa Beckerman, but they are not sure if they are going or not. And...Steve Elliott has taken a break from coaching elite gymnastics at CGA for awhile. That's all for now! I will try and put a few new pictures up tonight from Nationals!

Some have asked for the complete Rock 'n' Roll results:
1. Kim Zmeskal
2. Vanessa Atler
3. Svetlana Boguinskaya
4. Dominique Moceanu
5. Amanda Borden
6. Amy Chow

September 19, 1998

Kim *WON* the 1998 Rock 'n' Roll guitar!! Vanessa Atler was a close second! A late change--it was only a one-night competition. And by the way, John Macready won the men's title! Congrats to both! Check out this article for a few quotes from Kim!

September 17, 1998

I added an article on Kim's teammate, Sierra Sapunar, to the library page. I also rearranged the updates page, so that all that info is now on other pages. Don't worry it didn't disappear!

I also wanted to let you know the final lineup for the Rock 'n' Roll Championships being held this weekend.

Kim's Competition:
Dominique Moceanu
Vanessa Atler
Amanda Borden
Svetlana Boguinskaya
Amy Chow
Check out this article!

September 14, 1998

I completely re-did the picture page! I also added an Indy '98 picture page, with photos from this years Nationals. Hopefully I will be adding to it later! Special thanks to Scott J. Einuis and Pam Mayer for helping me get it started!

September 2, 1998

I added a bunch of links to pages of people who took pictures at Nationals. I also added a bunch of articles to the library page.

Kim will also be defending her title at the 1998 Rock 'n' Roll Championships to be held on September 19 at 7:30pm and September 20th at 2pm in Orlando, FL, at the Disney Wide World of Sports Fieldhouse. Tickets are available online through ticketmaster. Hopefully this will be televised by ESPN later on! Bring home another guitar Kim!!!
