Date:Thu, 18 Mar 2004 18:07:35 +0300 To:sa73122@yahoo.com From:"Reuven & Yehudit Goldfarb" Subject: Shlomo transcripts, #1 Dear Steve, I'm going to send you three emails, each with a set of attachments comprised of teachings from Reb Shlomo, most of them transcripts and perhaps some of them (such as from the Shul newsletter) remarks he composed and set down in writing himself. The first set will consist of transcripts that I made myself, although one of them is an letter I wrote to introduce a specific teaching. Two of the transcripts were made from my own recordings and four were made from the recordings of others, although I was present at one of the latter events. Enclosed with this email are the following, in order: [I (sa) have knocked these down to *.txt format, no line-breaks; renamed, seqentially: =scrg1.txt ... scrg7.txt I have presently misplaced my notation of RG's original filenames: Sorry: ] =scrg1.txt < =Shlomo_on_scars___healing.doc Shlomo_on_scars___healing.doc .doc file 1) Shlomo on Scars and Healing, recorded by Aryeh Trupin on 18 Kislev, 5752/November 24, 1991, at Congregation Chevra Thillim in San Francisco. This transcript includes some introductory and transitional material written by me, an Afterword (Transcriber's Kavanah), an exchange of notes between me and Moshe Eliovson, and an additional brief letter from Elana Schachter to the Reb Shlomo list. The transcription is in Palatino, 12 pt. =scrg3.txt < =Sand_tape_Gainsville__FL.doc Sand_tape__Gainesville__FL.doc .doc file 3) Sand tape, Gainesville, FL. You know the source of this recording better than I do. The teaching was given over on 24 Shvat, 5746/February 2, 1986, one day after Shabbat Yitro and one week before Rosh Chodesh Adar, which accounts for the mixture of subject material. Times, 12 pt. =scrg4.txt < =Reb_Shlomo_on_Seder_Night.doc Reb_Shlomo_on_Seder_Night.doc .doc file 4) Reb Shlomo on Seder Night. Given over on 8 Nisan, 5754/March 20, 1994, at Congregation Beth Israel in Berkeley, California, and co-sponsored by the Aquarian Minyan. It was a Sunday morning. On the previous evening, Motzaei Shabbat, Reb Shlomo and Reb Zalman had appeared together in a Farbrengen-style presentation at the Berkeley Hillel Foundation, and after Reb Zalman retired for the evening, Reb Shlomo and his dauighter Neshama headlined a mini- Melave Malka concert with local musicians. The tape of that evening has been transcribed but needs further editing. This tape was recorded by David Miller and transcribed by yours truly.
