Does anyone but Sharon really want to expel Jewish residents from Gaza?

There is no apparent military justification for doing so; the border of Gaza is far more manageable than that of Judea-Samaria.  Nor is there diplomatic justification, except to appease the essentially insatiable Palestinians and USA.  The Palestinian elite has become rich from foreign aid extorted by the demonstraed threat of a state of chronic low-grade terrorist warfare.

Pragmatiasm is very useful.  Before you say somethign to someone, don't ask merely 'is it true' abut ask also 'what good will it do to say it'.  If most likely it will do no goood at best, don't say it.

"The Oregon Supreme Cout on Thursday nullified nearly 3000 marriage licences issues a year ago to same-sex couples in Multzomar County, saing a cingle county could not take such action on its own.  (IHT, 15 Apr '05)

It seems that gayboys just can't win;
they're retroactively living in sin.


Comment;  A jlicense cannot be retroactively revoked if apllication was made in good faith; it can only be revoked on a case-by-case for good cause, eg the applicant mis-stated crucial facts.

PVK's re-instituted grades in the SO apply to advancement in the
SO -- an esoteric school -- but not necessarily to spiritual
advancement.
I mean, the Indians wouldn't even make Grade 1.
On Steve's grades you have to walk up three mountains to get to
Grade 1, and sail solo all day in wind up to 30 mph to make Grade
2, and stay overnight in a mountain cabin, and drive a car across
the USA, and spend at least one year in Israel if you're Jewish,
and like that.

I grew up in New England, in Cambridge ( Massachusetts).  My
grandmother was New York Ethical Culture German-Jewish.  All are
rather formal cultures.  I came of age in the USA 1960s, and
dropped out of grad school (analytic philosophy) to try to help
build up New Buffalo commune (on former Taos Pueblo land, upper
Rio Grande, New Mexico), as a model of a possible alternate
society.  Feelings were not discovered until the 1970s; I assumed
I could not afford them, and regard them as something best left in
the concert hall.
