=scerata1 Errata (Doc. 1) in my RSC transcriptions: ---------------------------------------------------------------- 18 May '04: BZ has pointed out that I write: hat v'shalom where it should be: has v'shalom The correct spelling is Chet-samech Chas NOT: (Chet-Tav, nor Het-Tav, nor Het-Tet) I had thought the 2nd letter was a Tav or tet, and that 'has v'shalom' was merely the Ashkenazi rather than the normali pronunciation. I had supposed that the 'Chet' was in the sense of sin (as in the Yom Kippur liturgy), and so the literal meaning was something like: 'a sin against peace'. But BZ says the literal meaning is, roughly: defend the peace. =================================================================
